With just under 15 minutes to play, Sheffield United still lead Wimbledon 2-0 and look to be heading back to the top of League One unless Scunthorpe can find a late winner at Southend.

At the other end of the table, 10-man Oldham are holding Chesterfield to a 0-0 draw, while 24th-placed Coventry trail Millwall 1-0 and are still eight points adrift of safety as it stands.

Derby make their third change with Bradley Johnson forced off after a challenge with Mo Diame and Ikechi Anya is on in his place.

Morecambe took a shock lead at leaders Doncaster earlier, but Rovers are pressing forward for all three points now after John Marquis' equalising goal.

Third-placed Carlisle are also on the front foot, with Jamie Proctor heading in to make it 2-1 at Leyton Orient, who are playing their first game under new boss Danny Webb.

Orient won't slip down to bottom of the table though as things stand, as 24th-placed Newport are trailing 1-0 at Cheltenham.

Matty Taylor, signed from rivals Bristol Rovers on deadline day, is straight into the thick of the action at Ashton Gate, leading appeals for a penalty shortly after coming off the bench - but the referee is unmoved.

Newcastle are without top scorer Dwight Gayle and you have to wonder what the score might be if he were available today.

The hosts have missed a series of excellent chances and the Rams could still take something from this game.

Blues boss Gianfranco Zola is yet to taste victory after 10 games.

He might not get a better chance than today now that Fulham's Ryan Fredericks has been shown a red for a bad foul on Craig Gardner.

There's been a bit of a delay in proceedings at Crawley, where referee Lee Swabey is injured and unable to carry on.

He's replaced by assistant Steve Finch, with the fourth official taking on the linesman duties. The hosts lead Steveange 1-0 there.

Swabey isn't the only official in the wars today, as Charlton's game with Fleetwood is delayed while an assistant referee is taken away for a bit of treatment.

There were a few boos from the Bristol City supporters as the two sides traipsed off at half-time and, without stating the absolute obvious, this does look a huge 45 minutes coming up for Lee Johnson.

It looks like the Robins head coach has acted swiftly too - he's made a triple substitution at the start of the second half, including the introduction of deadline day signing Matty Taylor.

The game of the day so far in the EFL is at Valley Parade, where Gillingham took the lead, fell 2-1 behind, and are now level again with Bradford thanks to Adedeji Oshilaja's goal early in the second-half.

We've also had the first goal in the relegation battle at Shrewsbury, where the hosts have taken a 1-0 lead over Bury through Tyler Roberts' close range finish.
