Harry Redknapp was on The Friday Football Social last night, and shared his favourite FA Cup moment.

Unsurprisingly it was winning the competition with Portsmouth in 2008.

Redknapp remembers receiving the news Pompey had drawn Manchester United at Old Trafford in the quarter-final: "I was playing golf with Jamie when the FA Cup draw came through.

"Halfway down the fairway and it came on, I just wanted to get to a final and have a day at Wembley with Portsmouth. The fans would love it, then... Man Utd away! I thought ‘oh no’ but we went there and won 1-0."

  7. 'Middlesbrough should not underestimate Oxford'published at 11:29 Greenwich Mean Time 18 February 2017

Middlesbrough v Oxford Utd (15:00 GMT)

    Robyn Cowen
    Presenter, Radio Oxford Sport

Premier League survival remains the priority for Middlesbrough, so their increasingly perilous position in the table might lessen their commitment to this fifth-round tie against Oxford United.

Aitor Karanka's side should not underestimate their League One opponents. Oxford's form in cup competitions this season has been outstanding.

As well as their FA Cup exploits, they're into the semi-final of the EFL Trophy and a late push for the play-offs is also in their sights.

It remains to be seen whether juggling three separate competitions will finally prove too much for the U's, but Michael Appleton's men have already conquered the big team from Tyneside. Could Teesside be next?

Oxford United are focused on having more than just "a big day out" when they face Premier League Middlesbrough in the FA Cup fifth round.

The League One side have already knocked out Championship clubs Rotherham and Newcastle on their way to a first last-16 tie since 1994.

"The prize is massive to try and get through the tie," manager Michael Appleton told BBC South Today.

"If we don't go there and perform, we know Middlesbrough can turn us over."

In one of our Sunday league games the ref turned up but didn't bring a ball, and for some reason neither team had one either, so the match was called off.

Well Lincoln are understandably the focus of media attention heading into this cup clash, but there is another side with eyes on the prize.

Here's Burnley manager Sean Dyche: "You have to be mentally prepared for the fact there's 11 out there trying to beat you and not take it for granted because they're that many places below you.

"There's not a divine right to win football matches, you have to earn everything you get."

Wondering how Lincoln City will set up against a Burnley side four divisions above them?

Imps boss Danny Cowley told The Friday Football Social he has asked his side to be "the very best versions of us".

"We try to play a high-energy game, defend from the front and then be really positive when we get turnovers," he said.

"We work hard on getting turnovers close to the other team's goal and then work from there.

"The challenge for Burnley will be enjoying 60-70 possession when they're not always used to.

"We are going to be ourselves, we could be negative and camp behind the ball but that's not how we play - we've given them freedom to go and express themselves."
