It has been a very good game. Huddersfield play so open that it invites City to go forward.

City being City have been great in attack, terrible at the back, terrible in the net.

I don't know what Claudio Bravo was doing. He has to do better. Poor goalkeeping.

Claudio Bravo has conceded nine goals from the last 14 shots he has faced. With that being the case, this bit of recent news seems apt...

Joe Hart is going to have to wait to find out if he has a future at Manchester City. The England number one was shipped out to Torino on loan for this season after Pep Guardiola decided he wasn't up to sweeper keeper duties. And the Spaniard has said he won't decide on Hart's City prospects until the end of the season.

The enthusiastic - ironic - applause for Claudio Bravo when he made a save at the end of the first-half did not go down well with Pep Guardiola.

The former Barcelona coach turned round to look at the fans, some of whom had got to their feet, and looked decidedly unimpressed.

Yesterday, Guardiola said he was happy with Bravo and his other goalkeeper Willy Caballero.

    Man City 3-1 Huddersfield

Manchester City's dominance has finally paid off. The home side have peppered the Town goal with 13 efforts, made up of seven on target (green), four off target (red) and two blocked (yellow circles).

In contrast, Huddersfield have managed just two shots of any kind - both of which were on target. That's Harry Bunn's shock opener of course, plus Philip Billing's effort saved by Claudio Bravo a few moments ago.

Manchester City appear to be in cruise mode at this moment in time. As the game goes on and space open ups, there'll be a few players wanting to score goals.

There was zippiness and sharpness about City's play. They've been up for it. I think Aguero started it.

  14. HALF-TIMEpublished at 45+2 mins

    Man City 3-1 Huddersfield

Huddersfield had the temerity to take the lead and made things very interesting for a while. But in the space of eight minutes, City turned the game on its head with some fine attacking play. Just don't mention the defending.

City win a corner that is fired to the near post, which John Stones darts to but fails to connect with a volley.

Sergio Aguero, deputising (ahem) for the injured Gabriel Jesus, puts City 2-1 up from the penalty spot.

    Man City 3-1 Huddersfield

If Claudio Bravo was at fault for the first goal, he has just redeemed himself. Philip Billing - who has impressed for Town - picks out Jack Payne with an incisive pass into the box, but with just the keeper to beat he comes off second best. Bravo is down and blocks before then gathering the loose ball.

It shows there is still life in the Championship side, though.

    Simon Stone

Three goals from Manchester City and Pep Guardiola can stop having a go at the officials.

Instead he attracts the attention of Fernandinho and provides some tactical instruction that, to my untrained eye, looks like some elaborate war dance.

City fans meanwhile, sing 'we want 10'. They beat Huddersfield 10-1 at Maine Road in 1987.

  19. Postpublished at 41 mins

    Man City 3-1 Huddersfield

Eight minutes is all it took for City to restore parity and then possibly put this game out of Huddersfield's reach. The gulf is starting to show now in a big way.
