Huddersfield's task tonight is made even tougher by the absence of manager David Wagner from the touchline.

The 45-year-old has been sent to the naughty step (ie. the stands for two games) as a result of his over-indulgent celebrations after his side scored a recent late winner against Leeds and for his part in some handbags on the touchline with Garry Monk.

“I don’t agree with it, I don’t like it and I’m not happy about it,” said Wagner. “I think it is harsh and I don’t understand it, but at least I’m still in the country and haven’t been sent home.

“It looks like a sweet shop that is closed and I have to stay at the window and watch from the outside." And we're back to Charlie Bucket.

Unfortunately for Huddersfield, they will be hosted tonight by one the Premier League's form sides - unbeaten in four, having won the last three.

They're also coming into this game off the back of that brilliant 5-3 home win over Monaco in the Champions League.

Oh, and they're also refreshed after a short trip to Abu Dhabi.

Just as a little addition, the teams have met in two previous FA Cup ties, with Manchester City winning both - although they needed two replays in the most recent meeting in 1988 - and Huddersfield's club record defeat is the 10-1 loss to City in Division Two in November 1987.

    Good luck Town.

Huddersfield are unbeaten in nine matches in all competitions, winning seven of those. Of all the Championship's chasing pack, they look the most likely to break the Newcastle-Brighton monopoly on the top two spots before the end of the season.

The league is undoubtedly Town's main focus this campaign, but success breeds success and Wagner won't his team to suffer a potentially morale-damaging defeat at such a crucial stage.

Like Charlie Bucket after being ushered through the front gates of Willy Wonka's chocolate factory, Huddersfield will tonight get a small taste of what it is like to be in dream land.

A goalless draw 11 days ago at the John Smith's was the Terriers' golden ticket to experience the delights, drama and massive, shiny stadiums that await every week in the Premier League.

And if David Wagner's men continue their recent form not only will they be taking a glass elevator to the top-flight, they might even make a surprise detour to Wembley on the way.

Huddersfield boss David Wagner might have been hoping to see a few less-familiar names on the City teamsheet. That's because he has rested all his key players.

The Championship promotion-chasers have made nine changes from Saturday's 1-1 draw at Barnsley, reverting to a similar line-up to the one which held City in the original game.

Only experienced midfielder Dean Whitehead and German striker Collin Quaner remain.

Huddersfield XI: Coleman, Cranie, Hudson, Stankovic, Holmes-Dennis, Whitehead, Billing, Lolley, Payne, Bunn, Quaner.

Pep Guardiola does not want to be embarrassed tonight - and he is taking no chances.

The Manchester City manager names a strong side bearing just four changes from the humdinger of a Champions League win against Monaco.

Sergio Aguero, Kevin de Bruyne, Raheem Sterling and John Stones are among those who keep their places.

Claudio Bravo replaces Willy Caballero between the sticks, while right-back Pablo Zabaleta, left-back Gael Clichy and teenage Spanish midfielder Aleix Garcia are brought in.

City XI: Bravo, Zabaleta, Stones, Otamendi, Clichy, Fernandinho, Sterling, Garcia, De Bruyne, Sane, Aguero.

Huddersfield fan Patrick Stewart has done his bit. Now it is up to the Terriers.
