Monaco 2-0 Manchester City (agg 5-5)
What a ball by Kevin de Bruyne. He wipes out the Monaco defence to put Raheem Sterling through on the right. The visitors close off the gap as Sterling takes too long to decide what to do and in the end his cutback for Sergio Aguero is cleared.
Better by Manchester City, though.

Sergio Aguero has the ball out wide for Manchester City as the visitors come forward again. He's got two players on him but does well to make space to cross but it is straight to Djibril Sidibe, who has time to clear.

Monaco supporters have lots to shout about, and they are doing just that at the Prince Albert II stadium.
Monaco 2-0 Manchester City (agg 5-5)
Manchester City pass the ball across the defence before Willy Caballero launches it long to Leroy Sane but he can't make the ball stick up in the Monaco half.
That sort of play will suit the visitors. Monaco have definitely dropped the level of intensity they had in the first half and seem quite content to let City have the ball.

Pep Guardiola has changed his side's shape a bit, with Kevin de Bruyne having dropped back while David Silva is playing at the tip of the diamond behind Sergio Aguero. So far so good and City attack again as Gael Clichy clips the ball into Silva's path but Danijel Subasic beats him to the ball.
Monaco 2-0 Manchester City (agg 5-5)
A lack of communication almost derails a City attack as Bacary Sagna expects Raheem Sterling to chase David Silva's ball down the right. Sagna is quick to recognise Sterling's hesitancy and quickly gets to the ball and finds Fernandinho, but the City midfielder fouls Fabinho as the two tangle in the Monaco box.

City have started better and are playing the ball quicker, they are playing the ball in the Monaco half. In that first half, they were totally overrun.
Monaco 2-0 Manchester City (agg 5-5)
Manchester City have to come out fighting and, so far, they have done that as they attack immediately. Sergio Aguero lets a pass run through to David Silva on the edge of the area and the midfielder almost sneaks through but Jemerson strides across to clear.
Monaco 2-0 Manchester City (agg 5-5)
Manchester City get the second half under way.
Monaco 2-0 Manchester City (agg 5-5)
Manchester City barely managed a successful pass (green arrow) in the Monaco half.
The players are back out for the second half. A big 45 minutes coming up for Manchester City.
Monaco 2-0 Manchester City (agg 5-5)
Plenty for Pep Guardiola to mull over during the break. Will he be tempted to make any changes for the second half? Sacrifice someone from attack for more steel in midfield?

A first for Manchester City. They failed to attempt a single first-half shot in a Champions League game for the first time in their history.
Pep Guardiola is going to need to produce a teamtalk of Any Given Sunday proportions.

City have been absolutely bullied. The fans are trying to get something out of their players. Monaco have been sensational.
City cannot live with the speed and physicality of the opposition. Kylian Mbappe looks like he can score everytime he gets the ball.
My criticism of Fernandinho is when he gets the ball, he has been robbed of possession two or three times. Fabinho and Tieumoue Bakayoko have been brilliant.

Atletico Madrid 0-0 Bayer Leverkusen (agg 4-2)
Atletico are doing what they need to do in this second leg. But for Bernd Leno they would be out of sight in this game, let alone the tie.
Bayer have 45 minutes left to get the three goals they need. Fancy their chances? No, me neither.
Monaco 2-0 Manchester City (agg 5-5)
So far so good for Monaco.
Manchester City will be happy for the break.
Monaco 2-0 Manchester City (agg 5-5)
Sergio Aguero is always the target when Manchester City manage to get beyond halfway and Gael Clichy attempts to pick him out between two defenders, but he is closed out. Immediately, Monaco send the ball back up towards the Manchester City box. The briefest of breathers over for the City defence.

Colin Todd: Beautiful stuff from Monaco. City getting pulled apart. Doesn't look like much leadership on/off the pitch for city.
Harrison Short: Too much to say Monaco are playing like Barcelona? Some really slick football going on here.
Paul Collins: You know how the French league is supposedly rubbish? Well one of theirs is making city look like a pub team tonight...
