Emile: Best we can do this year is play-offs. Next year we'll go straight up though.

Ali Colthurst: Looking forward to the Bristol derby next season.

Fulham fans are happy on social media tonight. Bristol City fans are less so...

  3. Reasons to be cheerful?published at 22:04 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2017

    FT: Bristol City 0-2 Fulham

Taking positives from such a comprehensive defeat is tricky. But Bristol City did create two or three good openings.

They also looked bright and dangerous when they went all out during a 15-minute spell soon after Fulham went 2-0 up.

But, in all honesty, there wasn't a lot to cling to. It was very one-sided for long periods of the game.

City have Newcastle away next too.

  4. Three on the spin for Fulhampublished at 22:00 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2017

    FT: Bristol City 0-2 Fulham

Fulham's third win in three league games leaves Bristol City just two points above the Championship relegation zone.

The Londoners are up to seventh and are six points below the top six.

They also have a game in hand on most of their promotion rivals.

    Bristol City 0-2 Fulham

It's all over at Ashton Gate. Fulham were good but didn't need to be at their very best. They just had too much for Bristol City, who never got going.

Lots of boos from the home fans.

    Bristol City 0-2 Fulham

Fulham are coasting to a third successive Championship victory. They have really impressed and, with this form, look well set to push on for play-off spot.

Bristol City are bang in relegation trouble.

The extra six minutes are showing no signs of producing any late drama.

Bristol City had a few periods of pressure soon after they went 2-0 down but have barely threatened in the latter stages.

But there's hope in the form of six minutes of added time. Not quite sure where all that came from.

It's near miracle territory now if Bristol City are to get anything from this.

    Bristol City 0-2 Fulham

Bristol City are surely heading for a 10th loss in 13 league games and a 13th loss in 17 league games. It's raining too.

Not a great night for the hosts.

Bobby Reid has looked lively since coming on but it's fellow substitute Lee Tomlin who has a sight of goal.

For some reason the striker opts to take another touch when ten yards from goal and is crowded out of things. Take a swing. Surely.

    Bristol City 0-2 Fulham

Fulham are wasting some time taking a couple of corners. It's frustrating for the hosts.

Kevin McDonald heads the ball over. A free header and a decent chance.

Almost a goal for Bristol City there. Fulham keeper David Button makes a smart save to keep out Bobby Reid's strike and then grabs the ball just as Matty Taylor was about to pounce.

Fulham are taking the pace out of the game where they can. All the changes have helped too.

Bristol City were upping the tempo but the noise levels have dipped in the ground as we approach the final ten minutes.

Fulham are dropping quite deep now. It's often a natural response in the closing stages when there is a lead to protect.

But it's a dangerous game. One goal and there will be a barnstorming finish.

City fans will be wondering why their side have left it so late to get in Fulham's faces.

Bristol City are now, at last, camped in Fulham's half. They may even put Fulham under a bit of pressure here.

  19. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 70 mins

Fulham go with five at the back as they respond to Bristol City's gung-ho approach. Defender Ryan Fredericks replaces forward Lucas Piazon.

The on-loan Chelsea man's work is done.

Fulham are looking to slow things down. They don't want it turning all frantic. One goal would really liven things up.

The Londoners haven't looked great defensively, but they have outclassed their opponents with the ball.
