Jens Hegeler did well to win the ball in midfield for the hosts, but Bristol City cannot spark a decent attack. No sniff of a chance as of yet.

Fulham make three changes from the side that lost to Tottenham in the FA Cup and are also missing their top scorer from the starting line-up.

But Chris Martin is named as a substitute.

The three changes see David Button back in goal, Ryan Sessegnon returning at left-back and on-loan Chelsea forward Lucas Piazon getting in ahead of Sone Aluko.

Let's check on the teams - starting with the hosts Bristol City.

As we already know, they are missing nearly half of their Championship goal tally because of 21-goal top scorer Tammy Abraham's thigh injury.

That means that former Bristol Rovers front man Matty Taylor starts tonight, while right-back Adam Matthews and striker Milan Djuric also return.

A grim run of just one win and two draws from their last 12 league matches means Bristol City are only two points above the relegation zone.

Fulham are looking for a third consecutive league victory which would put them within six points off the play-offs with a game in hand on sixth-placed Sheffield Wednesday.

Both teams are free-scoring, with 94 goals between them in the league so far. But they can hardly be described as sound defensively. It promises to be entertaining.

Yes, we have in-form Fulham who - after seeing their FA Cup run rudely ended by Tottenham on Sunday - can fully focus on their impressive efforts in the league against not so in-form Bristol City.

Both really, really need wins. But for very different reasons...
