Dani Castellano inadvertently takes out his own team-mate Pedro Bigas in the Las Palmas area in making a clearance.

I think he's smashed his nose.

    The stretcher is out.

    Real Madrid 1-1 Las Palmas

It appears that Las Palmas' defence have settled down a bit - although it's a bit of worry that their centre-backs are so far apart from, each other. Playing almost in full-back positions at times.

But, if it makes them happy...

    Right.

    The Real goal first.

Mateo Kovacic plays a lovely through-ball for Isco, who beats the offside trap to slot in.

Almost straight from the restart, Tana, makes his way into the area and from his howitzer of foot sends the ball flying past Keylor Navas in goal.

Do these teams not bother with defending?

Moments later, Alvaro Morata has the ball in the net again. But again ref Fernandez Borbalan's lino rules him to be offside.

    Wow!

Thirty seconds and Real have the ball in the net.

Gaz Bale crosses the ball from the right and finds Alvaro Morata who pokes in.

    He was off though.

The replays show that the Spaniard was offside by about a foot.

    Still though.

    Barcelona 6-1 Sporting Gijon

If Ivan Rakitic's finish was a punch in boxing it would have taken out Tyson, Lewis and both Klitschkos with one swing.

The Croat plays a one-two with Sergi Roberto before lifting the ball up on the edge of the six-yard area and launching a rocket into the roof of the net.

Sporting keeper Ivan Cuellar was in the middle of reacting when the ball had landed back on the turf.

Neymar makes another great run down the left and plays a teaser of a square ball along six-yard area. But there's nobody there to apply the finish.

Jordi Alba almost shatters the keeper's right-hand upright - I say almost, it was never on the cards - with a fierce strike.

The ref blows for offside, although the subsequent replays suggest that no Barca player was offside.

    It didn't go in anyway.
