If you are a fan of football and watching world class players, you can do a lot worse than watching his highlights tonight on Match of the Day. 

Jurgen Klopp is on the field, cuddling everyone in red and punching the air in the direction of The Kop. Daniel Craig stands and applauds. I reckon he's been busier than Romelu Lukaku today.

Merseyside is red once more, Everton's long wait for a win at Anfield continues. Liverpool, for the time being, go third in the Premier League.

Romelu Lukaku is going to end this match with one touch in the Liverpool box. Perhaps he's not fussed about a summer transfer after all.

Noise levels have dropped, the jig is up. The second half hasn't quite matched the electricity of the first.

Liverpool's last change, Ragnar Klavan on for Roberto Firmino. Meanwhile, Ashley Williams is getting treatment for what might be cramp. Four minutes added on.

Ronald Koeman is a really special manager but I don't think he has made many good decisions today. 

But maybe there were no right decisions. They were just beaten by a better side. 

Kevin Mirallas, everything but the finish. A fine, jinking, energetic run, but a shot of a man with his boots on the wrong feet. Three of the 90 left.

Trent Alexander-Arnold, operating in midfield, has been a livewire since coming on. Another shot, this time straight at Joel Robles. Everton have faded in the last five minutes or so.

Ronald Koeman orders his half a mild in the Last Chance Saloon. Dominic Calvert-Lewin off, Kevin Mirallas on.

There's space everywhere now. Trent Alexander-Arnold running and the Everton defence, then a teasing cross from Nathaniel Clyne. Midfielders are redundant, noise levels high.

The two Liverpool central defenders have absolutely dominated Romelu Lukaku today. 

But can I just say both keepers have had phenomenal games - some fabulous saves, a couple of them tough deflections too. There have been very few mistakes from either of them. 

Joel Robles! Finally a dive from the Everton keeper and a decent save to deny Trent Alexander-Arnold. Double AA is steaming into the box from the right corner, and Robles has to fly high to his right to stop the shot. There's more goals in this one.

Darth Timbo: Everton are making Liverpool's supposedly shaky defence look like the Arsenal invincibles!

Scrambling defence from Liverpool, the ball pinging around. When they get a moment to breathe, Philippe Coutinho is replaced by Trent Alexander-Arnold, that fella who presents Pointless. Defensive move.

This is better from Everton. Ross Barley continues to buzz and Romelu Lukaku has woken up. Free-kick coming up on the right of the penalty area. The perfect area from a Leighton Baines fizzer.

Of all the people this could have fallen to, Mason Holgate would be near the bottom of Everton's wishlist. Cross comes in, free header, off the mark. Before that, Holgate's deflected long-range strike was well saved by Simon Mignolet and, incredibly, Romelu Lukaku had a touch in the box.

We're still on red card alert here. Emre Can goes in high on Idrissa Gueye, the challenge of a man who thinks he has been wronged. Gueye is quick enough to get out of the way, but Can still goes in the book.

Koeman will need to do something quite drastic to take anything from this game.

They are losing in all areas and their defence have done nothing to try and stop Liverpool's forwards.
