Should Barkley have seen red?published at 13:25 British Summer Time 1 April 2017

Mark Taylor: No way is that a RED. Lovren went in awkwardly which made it look worse, and you don't do a triple salkho if your hurt for real

Reece Young: Dunno how Barkley is still on the pitch? So many bad tackles already

Patrick Wavey: Considering what happened to Coleman the other night Barkley's tackling today has been reckless

This is Lukaku's touchmap. Not one piece of action in the Liverpool box. He's been as useful as the other bloke in Wham.

Without a shadow of a doubt, Liverpool have been the better side.

My word, that's some big kahunas from Idrissa Gueye. As Philippe Coutinhos dances in the Everton box, Gueye sneaks up and dispossesses, fairly, from behind. Get that wrong and you're on the end of a penno.

There's no chance this is ending 11 v 11. Lucas on Mason Holgate. Jurgen Klopp and Ronald Koeman, who began very friendly, now hot under the collar. Fourth official Martin Atkinson is getting a flea in the ear from Klopp.

Is Romelu Lukaku playing? He's barely had a kick. Can someone please remind him that he's in my fantasy football team.

Yep, expect more cards than Clintons. This is nasty from Ross Barkley, and Dejan Lovren is lucky not to be seriously hurt. Stamping down, on the outside of the ankle. Only a booking, you've seen people walk for similar.

Emre Can appeared to be stood on while he was down on the ground there...

This takes me back to a couple of weeks ago with the Tyrone Mings/ Zlatan Ibrahimovic situation...

Players tend to know where their feet are. That might be looked at after the game.

Something might be made of this. Ashley Williams' boot makes contact with the spine of Emre Can, who is lying on the floor. To be honest, I don't think Williams could have done much to prevent it.

I'm not sure if he could have done anything to prevent either of Liverpool's goals, but Joel Robles has stood and watched both of them go past. Any chance of a dive?

It was so obvious what was going to happen there! He is a quality player and an outstanding goal and it doesn't look like there is an Everton defender who can stop it.

He looks back to his superb best now...

Coutinho's moment of magicpublished at 30 mins

    Liverpool 2-1 Everton

It's another brilliant Liverpool goal to restore their lead in what is turning out to be a cracking derby. Phillipe Coutinho inside the Everton a box, a drop of the shoulder to go past Matthew Pennington (some game he's having) and curl a right-footed shot high inside the far post. It could end up as a classic, this one.

I cannot believe it. The least expected player to score and he cannot miss!

    Everton back in it.
