It's so important Middlesbrough don't get beaten here. 

You have to say, they need this draw and to win the next two games if they want to stay up. 

Are they capable of going to the next two places and scoring goals? 

The unbalanced nature of this team has been a problem for a long time and they have got to get over it. 

Mesut Ozil starts for Arsenal while Manchester City leave Yaya Toure on the bench and flood their team with attacking midfielders.

It's a really poor game, that's what it is Leon. Swansea midfielder Leroy Fer wants a penalty as he flicks a cross onto the arm of Ben Gibson, no chance of getting that.

It is really nerve-wracking sitting here watching this. You can tell the players and the crowd are on edge. 

I think it needs a change of formation to pick up a little more pace and to get the crowd back but it will be interesting to see what the manager will do in the last 15 minutes.

What a wonderful collage. Gylfi Sigurdsson's curler is the closest we have come to a goal all day. And it wasn't even that close really. 

Another corner for Swansea. A header by Alfie Mawson is probably our most likely route to a goal in this game.

Into the last 20 minutes. Both teams desperately need a win here but you wouldn't really know it. It's gone very flat indeed. Alvaro Negredo is shown a yellow card as Swansea then force a corner.

Middlesbrough compete for a drop-ball which is one of those moments that falls into a grey area between what's in the rules and what's 'in the spirit of the game.'

Antonio Barragan gets the ball and motors down the wing before being fouled, and the home fans and staff are not happy with the Boro defender. Play to the whistle!

It's starting to liven up here now - it was a slow start to the half but Middlebrough are looking dangerous with Adama Traore down the right.  

The crowd are starting to lift here but we need more players in the box to finish these moves off.

At half time, the manager mentioned we were in the final third a lot but we need three players in the box rather than leaving Ayew in there on his own. Defensively he also said to be wary of Traore and to be aware of the long ball too. 

Give it to Gylfi and watch what happens! Swansea get their gifted playmaker on the ball, he buys himself a yard of space just outside the area, tricking his way past Marten de Roon and arcing in a curler which is flying into the top corner until Victor Valdes makes a fine save.

Fabio is the latest man to go down with an injury, it's been a real stop-and-start game. The Brazilian takes a very heavy landing after going up for a header and he may need some concussion checks. He wants to carry on, that's clear.

Adama Traore gets away from Alfie Mawson despite the defender's lunge on halfway, his cross is a good one, Adam Clayton nods it back and Alvaro Negredo can't force it home.

Swansea left-back Martin Olsson has been as attacking an option as anyone in a white kit so far today and again he pops up on the overlap, skimming a low ball through a ruck of bodies but there's nobody there to reach it.

Fernando Llorente, Wilfried Bony, Jason Scotland would have buried that...

Scruffy is a good word for it Leon. Sloppy is another. Boro don't score goals and don't concede many either. It is no surprise that this is 0-0.

The first half wasn't too bad, we dominated possession well. 

I've been down to the changing room to see if they will come out with something extra. I was hoping someone would take the game by the scruff of the neck and maybe come up with a moment of individual brilliance but this is looking scruffy. 

This game needs something to liven it up, and it could well be Adama Traore. He takes a fine touch to go around Martin Olsson and hits a low shot which skids wide of the far post. That was not far away at all. 

Shot on target! Just about. Gylfi Sigurdsson miscues a chip/shot from 25 yards which Victor Valdes has time to watch all the way into his gloves.
