    Man Utd 1-1 Everton

Everton boss Ronald Koeman, speaking to BBC Sport: "You sign before the game for one point but not how the game went. It was a difficult game, we controlled it well at 1-0 up, we had chances on the counter in the second half but not always was the last ball a good one.

"It was really disappointing you don't get the win. The penalty was the right decision but it was really hard to take.

"Manchester United were attacking, taking risks, for that we had to kill the game. I was really confident to keep the clean sheet tonight.

"We know we are close [to being a top four team]. We don't have squads like Manchester United or Chelsea."

This is how it looks at the top of the table. Manchester United stay fifth while Everton, who were seconds away from going fifth, are seventh; three points behind United.

Mwalimu Pedro: Rashford and Lingard need more muscle to play in the Premier League. Their work rates are great but they're always shoved off the ball.

Anthony: Mourinho should go for Europa now, top four is looking an impossible dream tbh..

Sho Rahman: If Jose doesn't win Europa then he's gone. Precedent has been set with Moyes then Van Gaal.

    Man Utd 1-1 Everton

Everton defender Phil Jagielka, speaking to BBC Sport: "I thought we played some good stuff, especially the first half. The gameplan worked and we knew we would have to soak up some pressure. We thought we had done enough but couldn't see the game out.

"It is disappointing not to see out that final attack. It was difficult with their two big fellas up top. The one lack of judgement in the 92nd minute cost us.

"We need to dust ourselves down now. Leicester have found some form but we need to get back to winning ways."

Everton were fantastic tonight. Ross Barkley was showing glimpses of the player we all want him to be and Romelu Lukaku put himself about too.

To come off then with just a point, with pretty much the last kick of the game, it really is a kick in the gut.

Boos from the Everton fans at the final whistle and a long chat for referee Neil Swarbrick with Leighton Baines.

Not sure what the complaints were for. Could be the amount of added time or the free-kicks that went the home side's way at the end.

There could be no moaning about the penalty though.

Everton have played really well. It's unfortunate Ashley Williams gave away that penalty. Only thing is, Robles would have saved that but he is not to know that. Such is life.

From Manchester United, it was a dog's dinner of a performance. They had no idea who was playing where and they played that way. They have gone away with a point but should have had none.

Everton should have had the three points.

Stern faces on both managers as they walk down the tunnel. It's not really a result for either to celebrate. Everton were just seconds away from a big win, while for Manchester United a point only marginally improves their top four hopes. They are four points behind Manchester City.

Manchester United have won six home Premier League games so far this season.

After tonight they will have three games left at Old Trafford, including the visit of leaders Chelsea on 16 April.

United won nine home games during David Moyes' single season in charge, although the Scot was only in charge for seven of them as Ryan Giggs replaced him for the final two.

A chance for Everton to end Manchester United's hopes as they break again, this time through Dominic Calvert-Lewin. He has Romelu Lukaku for support but plays the ball behind the striker and Eric Bailly is able to zone in and sweep up. He finds Paul Pogba but the midfielder puts too much into his cross and the chance is gone. The story of Manchester United's night.

Still time for that to change as Manchester United come forward again but Jesse Lingard's shot is deflected behind for a corner.
