Leicester City boss Craig Shakespeare speaking to Match of the Day:

"I'm disappointed not to win the game. I don't think we deserved the win, I'm not saying that, but going behind so early on and then going 2-1 up, it was like a basketball game early on and a bit too open for me. Ultimately it was the two set plays that cost us the game in the end."

[On changes to squad] "We've got a big run of games coming up. I need to use the squad, the squad are good enough but they weren't at it today. The team that was picked was good enough to come here and get the result."

[On Atletico Madrid game] "We've said before we don't dwell on results. We can't do because we're training tomorrow for a big game on Wednesday. We have to move on quickly and we will learn from it. You're always a bit disappointed but we will brush ourselves down and we will be ready for Wednesday."

Leicester manager Craig Shakespeare on Sky Sports:

"We've got hard games coming up. We won't dwell on this result - we'll carry on. I was disappointed with the start, but we showed character to get back into it. I was disappointed with losing the goals on set-plays.

"I spoke to the players after the game. We need to be more aggressive on set-plays - get an arm across and stay with the runners."

On changes made to the first XI:

"I don't think they affected the rhythm. It's a strong squad and I believe in all of them.

"We've come here to get a win. There's not much damage after the loss. We haven't got time to dwell on it. They are reporting tomorrow and we move on."

"I think results have shown that. This is a unique group. I've never worked with a group like this when it comes to mentality."

"2-2 after 20 minutes was not what we were expecting from the beginning. After we got to 4-2 we really controlled the game and it's one of the most complete performances of the season.

"It was a really crazy start. 1-0 up and in five or six minutes 2-1 down, of course it was disappointing. 

"Romelu Lukaku is one of the best strikers in the world and I think the boy is improving in different aspects. I can't change him in how he needs to finish. In my opinion he's the best finisher.

"Everybody knows he's a key player for Everton and we will try to do everything to keep him here but the final decision is always with the player. Everyone knows he has his own ambition but we will try our best."

Everton boss Ronald Koeman speaking to Sky Sports:

"I'm really happy with the three points and how we played. We played some fantastic football.

"We controlled the game and produced some attacking football. It was really good team football.

"We had great movement between the lines and made it difficult for Leicester."

On criticism faced by Romelu Lukaku and Ross Barkley after the 3-1 defeat by Liverpool at the start of April:

"It's not about Lukaku and Barkley needing to respond. They need to play at the level of what they can do. They showed they are fantastic football players. They were two players on a high level this afternoon. The whole team played on a high level."

Ronald Koeman says that he will do everything he can to keep Romelu Lukaku and Ross Barkley at Everton but admits that the final say is always the players'.

"We were sloppy. I wouldn't say they've carved us open for any amounts of the game. The goals we gave away were cheap and not good enough. When you need to score five goals away from home it's always going to be difficult.

"Don't get me wrong, the run we've been on in the last six weeks has been absolutely fantastic and the application the boys have shown has been tremendous. You can't afford slip-ups and Everton proved that today."

[On if he meant his free-kick to go in] "Yep. You put a ball in an area and when you're on free-kicks you aim for the back post, that's what you're taught at a young age and luckily it went in."

[On Wednesday's Champions League game against Atletico Madrid] "We're big enough to know we have to dust ourselves down and we're all excited for Wednesday night and it's going to be a great occasion but we have to improve on that performance today."

Everton striker Romelu Lukaku on Sky Sports:  "We did really well. In away games we have to do the same.

"We want to fight against (fifth place) Manchester United and (sixth place) Arsenal. We need to win much more games. 

"Myself and Ross [Barkley] have played together many times. In his new position he can create more. Hopefully we can deliver more in the upcoming games."

How will Leicester approach their away tie in Madrid against Atletico?

They mastered it against Sevilla.

"It was entertaining today.The big man [Lukaku] was on fire today and we got the three points which was the main thing. We thought we desereved the three points midweek against United which was disappointing. We stuck at it today and we knew we had a lot of players in top form at the minute

"I'm just enjoying it at the minute getting the chance to get in the box and create chances like I did today."

[On criticism after the Merseyside derby] "It's to be expected it's the Merseyside derby and we expect more from ourselves in big games. We went away and worked hard and put a shift in midweek and got the three points today which is the main thing."

It was an easy win in the end, they just did enough in the second half. They got that goal to get the two goal cushion and never really looked back. They deserved the win today but it will be interesting to see what team Shakespeare picks midweek for Atletico Madrid.

Everton move level on points with Arsenal then, and 10 clear of West Brom. They are also seven points adrift of a place in the top four, with that dream just out of reach this season.

Leicester are in a Watford-Burnley sandwich in midtable.

Into the three minutes of added time as the crowd at Goodison starts to thin out. An entertaining end to any Sunday but it's going to be fruitless in the end for Leicester.

It's poor from Lukaku in the end. It's a great breakaway but the pace of the pass from Mirallas is perfect for Lukaku and he should do better.

And there nearly was the Leicester goal to set up a grandstand finish, another set-piece won by sub Leo Ulloa and Joel Robles makes the save.

Everton go straight up the other end, free Romelu Lukaku on the break and he slips as he looked set to complete a hat-trick...
