Richard: Mourinho trolling Man Utd fans by making Fellaini captain

Ninos The Boss: Make the tallest guy captain so his voice travels further. Clever from Mourinho

AADZ: Said it before and say it again - Mourinho's love in with Fellaini is going to cost him if it already hasn't. Very poor from a top manager

You look at Villa who were close to giong down for many years, Sunderland have been hanging on for the last few years. It's been almost inevitable that they're going down.

They're sat there with 20 points, it's almost pitiful.

Jordan Pickford must be up there with the best shot stoppers in the league, and he can club a ball too. I saw him play for Preston last season and ping a pass a good 60 yards to feet.

If he was available I'd expect plenty of interest. Everton need a keeper.

Jordan Pickford is one of Sunderland's main players they can sell in the summer. But as a player he's a Sunderland boy and he might want to stay with them in the Championship.

He doesn't want to go to Manchester City, Manchester United or Chelsea and sit on the bench. He's had the experience of playing in the first team regularly and I just wouldn't want to see him go to a big club and not play.

Sunderland manager David Moyes:  "The players have been here before and we will keep going; it's still within our hands to stay up and we'll make sure that we do that.

"I think the boys have given a good go at it, so there's no faulting them and I think they've done everything they can.

"What I hadn't put down was a win against a Manchester United - or an Arsenal or Chelsea - in our remaining fixtures, so we now have to win at least one of those games."

One change for Sunderland from the side that started the 2-0 defeat at Leicester last Tuesday as Victor Anichebe comes in for Italian forward Fabio Borini.

Sunderland: Pickford, Jones, Kone, Denayer, Oviedo, Cattermole, Ndong, Rodwell, Larsson, Defoe, Anichebe.

Five changes for Manchester United from the side that started the 1-1 draw with Everton last Tuesday.

The headline is David de Gea does not start and is not on the bench. That means Argentine Sergio Romero makes a rare appearance.

Luke Shaw, who has been criticised by Jose Mourinho recently, also starts in defence while Paul Pogba, the world's most expensive player, returns to midfield.

There's also starts for Matteo Darmian and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

    Also, Marouane Fellaini is captain.

Manchester United: Romero, Darmian, Bailly, Rojo, Shaw, Fellaini, Pogba, Mkhitaryan, Ander Herrera, Lingard, Ibrahimovic.

Luke Dady: Nothing signifies the fall of Man Utd more than the idea of Fellaini captaining the side.

Andrew Priestley: Sir Bobby Charlton, Bryan Robson, Steve Bruce, Eric Cantona, Roy Keane, Nemanja Vidic, Ryan Giggs....Marouane Fellaini!

Claude Maxélélé: Fellaini shouldn't be anywhere the United team, let alone captaining the side

Two big pieces of team news for Manchester United. Fellaini as captain is a strange one. Some fans don't even think he should be at the club, now he's captain.

De Gea is one of the best goalkeepers in the world, but Romero should be ok because as we know Sunderland are struggling to score goals.

Why not believe in Luke Shaw? What about saying he played well, what about saying he came on and led to the equaliser against Everton?

Saying he was only doing well because of what Mourinho was telling him to do is poor management.

He should apologise sometimes for what he has said.

If Mourinho has something to say to Luke Shaw then he should say it to his face. He's digging out too many players in public and they have to go back to their families and read all of this stuff.

For me as a player and as a coach it's about getting the best out of players. Saying it to his face and protecting him in the media is the way to do it.

    Football writer on MOTD2 Extra

Zlatan Ibrahimovic came out in the week and said he doesn't know if he'll stay at Manchester United or not. He's been outstanding this season and had he not elbowed Tyrone Mings he might have been my Player of the Year.

He'll be 36 soon and he's not going to stay without confirmation he will play. I don't think he is the future of Manchester United.  think getting a younger top striker, like Griezmann in, and integrating in the younger strikers is the future.
