  1. Postpublished at 70 mins

    West Brom 0-1 Liverpool

Jake Livermore tries to find Matt Phillips with a long ball forward but he is marked well. Liverpool haven't had the most resolute defence this season but they are holding firm here so far.

  2. Postpublished at 68 mins

    West Brom 0-1 Liverpool

Close! Joel Matip meets James Milner's free-kick but diverts his header wide of the post. Looks like he may have given his marker a little shove as well.

Benjamin David: Ref's a bit trigger happy today, isn't he? Just let the game play.

Emmanuel Kimutai: Yet again every fan's favourite Bobby is the difference as it is. His teammates should trust him with more of the ball though.

  4. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 65 mins

    West Brom 0-1 Liverpool

The small pocket of Venezuelan fans sat amongst the home fans are happy. They wave their national flag as Salomon Rondon comes on for Hal Robson-Kanu. It would have been a long way to come to watch him warm-up.

James McClean's introduction makes it a double-sub, with Claudio Yacob departing.

James Morrison also came on a few minutes ago. Nacer Chadli the man making way.

  5. Postpublished at 64 mins

    West Brom 0-1 Liverpool

Coutinho has still yet to turn on his radar. He darts forward before unleashing a 30-yarder that flies high and wide.

  6. Postpublished at 62 mins

    West Brom 0-1 Liverpool

Argh, my eyes! Roberto Firmino flashes a big rueful smile and nearly blinds me with his gnashers as the offside flag goes up to rule out a Divock Origi header from the Brazilian's headed delivery.

  7. Postpublished at 61 mins

    West Brom 0-1 Liverpool

Liverpool look the most likely to get the next goal. In the same attack, Georginio Wijnaldum and Roberto Firmino have shots blocked on the edge of the box.

    West Brom 0-1 Liverpool

Looks like James Morrison is going to come on for West Brom.

    West Brom 0-1 Liverpool

    Craig Hignett
Former Middlesbrough and Blackburn midfielder on BBC Radio Merseyside

"Firmino was outstanding there, making the run, looking up and seeing Milner. It should be a goal. Liverpool look a lot more threatening now. Clyne's bombing forward, Coutinho's getting space, Firmino's getting space."

  10. Postpublished at 58 mins

    West Brom 0-1 Liverpool

Oh, that's a bad miss (as Mitchel and Webb would say). Liverpool work it down the right and Roberto Firmino dinks over a cross to the opposite side of the area, where James Milner is waiting and looks certain to make it 2-0 but instead volleys over. He is much, much better than that illustrates.

    West Brom 0-1 Liverpool

Divock Origi does a Coutinho impression. Not a good one, though. He cuts in from the left and curls a shot well wide.

    West Brom 0-1 Liverpool

    Craig Hignett
Former Middlesbrough and Blackburn midfielder on BBC Radio Merseyside

"The game's got a bit more tempo in this second half. West Brom have come out more fired up. They're going into challenges and arguing for decisions."

  13. Postpublished at 53 mins

    West Brom 0-1 Liverpool

Tony Pulis is kicking every ball himself down on the touchline. He is even contesting throw-ins and reacts angrily when one goes Liverpool's way instead of to his side.

Soon after, Hal Robson-Kanu gets caught offside again with a poorly-timed run. More frustration for the Baggies.

    Craig Hignett
Former Middlesbrough and Blackburn midfielder on BBC Radio Merseyside

"It's about managing the game for Liverpool. Slow the game down, take your time over goal kicks and free-kicks. They don't have to chase it."

  15. YELLOW CARDpublished at 48 mins

    West Brom 0-1 Liverpool

Hal Robson-Kanu treads on Emre Can's foot off the ball and gets a yellow. Bit sneaky.

    West Brom 0-1 Liverpool

West Brom have an early chance to test Mignolet, but from a free-kick near the left corner flag, Nacer Chadli can't find one of his team-mates as Liverpool head clear.

Robin Smit: Goals before half-time can be so important as the momentum continues into the 2nd half. Great time to score.

Garry: Liverpool go 1-0 up against West Brom....by scoring from a set piece. Is this backwards day?

Eden Hazard has so much more potential. He's got an immense amount of ability. When I was there, I didn't feel he worked hard enough on the training field. This season I think he's been made to do it.

Conte has said 'this is how we work and get fitter'. One person who has benefited from that is Hazard. You'd wonder how he could be like that in training, so below par, and then so good in a game.

I think his attitude has changed now. He's tracked back without someone on the sidelines demanding him to do it.

Fabian Karels: GET IN THERE... from one Brazilian 2 another

Vieira 151: Nice little goal for Sir Bobby. Liverpool seem to have made a habit of scoring at the end of the 1st half recently
