    West Brom 0-0 Liverpool

Matt Phillips was in fine form earlier in the season, before injury interrupted. He looks to get back in the swing of things with a curling shot from the edge of the box but gets it wrong and puts his effort well wide.

Emre Can tries to get Philippe Coutinho away down the left but Jonny Evans steams over to smash the ball into touch. No chances taken.

    West Brom 0-0 Liverpool

Liverpool have had over 75% possession so far but West Brom are asking more questions on the rare occasions they do have the ball, breaking at speed and with intent.

"Liverpool are going to have to move the ball really quickly. The quicker they can switch the play, the better, because there's going to be no space through the middle."

Again, Liverpool give up possession easily with a pass from Emre Can dribbling out of play. The away side are struggling with the early pressing from the Baggies.

    West Brom 0-0 Liverpool

Sloppy start from Liverpool as a throw-in from Milner is put straight out of play by a team-mate in their own half. A long-throw from the Baggies prompts some panic around the box, which is ended when Matt Phillips has a shot deflected wide off another Baggies player.

West Brom v Liverpool (13:30 BST)

    Craig Hignett
Former Middlesbrough and Blackburn midfielder on BBC Radio Merseyside

"Liverpool will have most of the possession. But if you give West Brom a set-piece with Chris Brunt’s left foot and he can put it anywhere. They’ve got players who can attack the ball, such as Gareth McAuley and Craig Dawson, and they will attack it well."

  10. 'No time to waste'published at 13:27 British Summer Time 16 April 2017

West Brom v Liverpool (13:30 BST)

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, speaking to Sky Sports: "It’s a very important period of fixtures. There’s no time to waste, no points to waste. Be concentrated on your highest level and try to win. We all know what a difficult place West Brom is to play, but that’s why we are here."

West Brom v Liverpool (13:30 BST)

Liverpool can ill afford any slip-ups in the chase for a Champions League slot but West Brom can cause them real problems.

It's understandable that the Baggies have stalled since passing the 40-point safety mark. Their tiny squad is exhausted.

Tony Pulis has worked miracles and needs the reward of a treasure chest of summer transfer funds. This is also the sort of game to kick-start a new charge for a club record Premier League points haul.

They are so strong in the air at set pieces. Liverpool can't defend them or keep clean sheets. I expect a draw.

Finally, we're going to have some actual football to talk about. The players are on their way out at the Hawthorns.

  14. 'It's all about results'published at 13:24 British Summer Time 16 April 2017

West Brom v Liverpool (13:30 BST)

    Craig Hignett
Former Middlesbrough and Blackburn midfielder on BBC Radio Merseyside

"It’s the business end of the season now so it doesn’t matter about performance as far as Liverpool are concerned. It’s all about results. Qualification for the Champions League in their own hands they’ve got a great chance. The run-in is quite kind to them as well. There isn’t a fixture they’ll be scared of."

    Everton 3-1 Burnley

    Match of the Day

Former England midfielder Frank Lampard on Everton's Ross Barkley: "I like him, we're in danger of over-analysing our young English players because we want so much from them.

"He is getting to the stage now where he is a man and not a boy. He needs a consistent season. He needs to play at the level he showed today consistently. He's a bit phasey at times. For talent he's got it but I'd like to see him stay at Everton and improve."

It has been an unusual, possibly difficult week for Ross Barkley. He was, of course, one of the subjects of the column written by Kelvin MacKenzie in the Sun, which not only criticised him but also the people of Liverpool.

This came after he was punched in a bar in the city last Sunday.

However, the England international, 23, responded with two important clearances and a key role in Everton's second goal as they beat Burnley 3-1 on Saturday.

  19. 'Spurs have to be careful and not turn into Arsenal'published at 13:04 British Summer Time 16 April 2017

    Tottenham 4-0 Bournemouth

    Danny Mills
    Ex-England defender on MOTD2 Extra

They have an exceptional squad of 13 players but beyond that it's a bit light. Can they can bring in three or four players without disrupting the squad? They need back-up for Harry Kane.

But if you bring in a top name, are they happy to sit on the bench? It's a delicate balance of bringing in quality who are happy not to start every game. But they need to in order to challenge in the Premier League and Champions League.

They have to be careful and not turn into Arsenal and be a top four team for the next 10 years. They have to win something.
