Today was the Clarets' first top-flight win in London since beating QPR 1-0 in January 1975.

    Big.

But where does it rank on the Match of the Day set list?

    I'll leave it with you...

  3. 'We showed our hunger today'published at 19:50 British Summer Time 29 April 2017

Burnley manager Sean Dyche: "We have had our fair share of critics on the road in the Premier League and I understand why, but we showed our hunger today. We won the one v one battles, which we knew we would have to do against a team who are on a roll.

"I thought that Sam Vokes and Ashley Barnes were magnificent, holding the ball up and putting a real shift in.

On whether 39 points will be enough to stay up as Sam Allardyce claimed before the match: "Sam is a lot wiser than me, but we will keep going. That is my mentality, just keeping until the end of the season and then see where we are."

  4. 'Our destiny is still in our hands'published at 19:44 British Summer Time 29 April 2017

    Crystal Palace 0-2 Burnley

    Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace manager Sam Allardyce: "We got nervous today, we started very well, but then fell foul to our inefficiencies, not clearing the box and that goal got the nerves jangling.

"We sorted that at half time and hoped our constant pressure would  get us back into the game. We made a good recovery but could not find away through a side who defended well and took their chances.

"There were some very strange decisions from the referee that frustrated people today. There were some really poor decisions. I thought tackling from behind was outlawed, I thought that when you were fouled you got a free-kick rather than told to play on.

"We have worked very hard to keep our destiny in our own hands. We have had a big week with Liverpool and Spurs. Burnley have had a full week to prepare and I think that showed today."

"We have got Manchester City next up, then Hull who are in and around us in the table, we have to get it right."

Burnley's Ashley Barnes: "You can see by the boys' reaction that that was a massive win and to do it now in the manner that we did was brilliant. The fans have travelled miles all throughout the season. We know our business is not done yet, there are games to be played and see how high we can go."

Fellow goalscorer Andre Gray: "They were going for the game and looked vulnerable on the counter so we wanted to hang on the shoulder, find the space and exploit that. Every striker wants to score more goals, but it has been more about the team this season. The main thing is staying up."

That victory takes Burnley leap-frogging over the top of Palace, up to 14th and the 39-point mark that should be more than enough to stay in the Premier League next season.

Palace have a seven-point head start on Swansea in the final relegation spot. They'll be alright.

    Won't they?

A little bit toothless from Palace today. Burnley were very comfortable in their 18 yard box - kept getting their head on it and were much the agressors. Palace didnt have any answer to the way they defended either.

They rallied a bit towards the end but I think Sam Allardyce will point towards the closeness of the recent fixtures.

There is a Palace fan slumped forward in his seat.

They will surely get the point or two they need over the remaining three games, but today had been circled as when they could finally put their feet up.

Steve Parish looks on with a slightly furrowed brow from up in the gods.

Really intelligent pick out from the Burnley player. Andre Gray's first touch is perfect - chooses to go for power and just drills it into the bottom corner.

The travelling Burnley fans are jubilant...

That is surely that. Both the end of Burnley's winless away record and their worries about Premier League safety.

George Boyd's exquisite outside-of-the-foot pass sets Andre Gray away and the substitute keeps his head down and his nerves steady as he drills a low, hard shot inside Wayne Hennessey's near post.

Burnley are keeping Palace at arm's length and are surviving.

Wilfried Zaha's wicked whipped effort of his instep is deflected over the top off the head of Matthew Lowton.

From the resulting set-piece, Patrick van Aanholt bangs a shot clear over the top.
