  1. CLOSE!published at 43 mins

    Newcastle 0-0 Leeds

Goodness me, Leeds are defending for their lives at the moment - and they need to! Newcastle are bombarding the goal.

First Rob Green does well to save Chancel Mbemba's powerful header.

Then, from the next corner, the ball reaches Ayoze Perez in the six-yard box but his shot on the turn is blocked and deflected over. It looked like Liam Bridcutt got his body in the way of that one.

  2. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 41 mins

    Newcastle 0-0 Leeds

How has that not gone in? Yoan Gouffran with a vicious low strike past Rob Green, but it comes back off the post.

On the rebound, from outside the area, Matt Richie's shot is deflected just over the bar.

That's Newcastle's best moment of the half so far.

Plenty of passion on show, still no goals. Five minutes to go until half-time.

  4. Postpublished at 39 mins

    Newcastle 0-0 Leeds

Alfonso Pedraza does well down the Leeds left once again and wiggles free to create enough room for himself to cross, but he can't find Chris Wood in the middle and Newcastle comfortably get the ball clear.

  5. CLOSE!published at 36 mins

    Newcastle 0-0 Leeds

Against the run of play, Leeds almost have the lead. Alfonso Pedraza drills a low shot across goal from the left and Karl Darlow looks beaten.

But Pedraza's shot is just wide of the post and just too far in front of the on-rushing Kemar Roofe at the far post as well.

  7. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 20:20 British Summer Time 14 April 2017

    Burton 0-0 Ipswich

Ipswich celebrate offside goalImage source, Rex Features

Ipswich have the ball in the net at the Pirelli Stadium but it's not going to count.

Grant Ward's shot is heading wide and is turned into the net by Myles Kenlock. The visiting fans celebrate thinking their side are ahead but the linesman has his flag up.

    It remains 0-0.

  8. Postpublished at 33 mins

    Newcastle 0-0 Leeds

Ayoze Perez skips past Liam Bridcutt near the byline after a Newcastle corner - won by Matt Ritchie - but Perez's cross is cleared.

But it is all Newcastle all of a sudden. They're winding up the pressure.

  9. 'It feels edgy'published at 32 mins

    Newcastle 0-0 Leeds

    Steve Stone
Former England midfielder on BBC Radio 5 live

It feels edgy. Both teams are giving the ball away a lot.

Newcastle have settled down in the last five minutes, Leeds are just sending it up to their forward and it's coming back at them.

  10. Postpublished at 31 mins

    Newcastle 0-0 Leeds

Newcastle have men in the box again and Matt Ritchie has space to cross low from the right, but Kyle Bartley is there to intercept the cross and clear.

  11. Postpublished at 29 mins

It is pretty even so far. Newcastle are maybe just shading it in terms of how frequently they are getting men forward, but Leeds have gone closest to scoring.

  12. Postpublished at 27 mins

    Newcastle 0-0 Leeds

Matt Ritchie has a go from range for the hosts and it is a decent effort but he powerfully curls over the bar with his left foot. A good strike. But just off target.

  13. Postpublished at 26 mins

    Newcastle 0-0 Leeds

Matt Ritchie's curling free-kick leads to a Newcastle corner.

Then Jonjo Shelvey's left-wing corner almost curls in at the near post! Rob Green just gets across to keep it out. That was almost in straight from the corner! Green was off his line but got back in time.

  14. Postpublished at 23 mins

    Newcastle 0-0 Leeds

Newcastle win a free-kick near the left corner of the Leeds penalty area as Kyle Bartley fouls Aleksandar Mitrovic.

  15. Postpublished at 20:06 British Summer Time 14 April 2017

    Burton 0-0 Ipswich

Unsurprisingly with so much at stake at the bottom, it has been a cagey start between Burton and Ipswich with just a shot apiece for the two teams.

Ipswich keeper Bartosz Białkowski made a regulation save from Cauley Woodrow before Jon McLaughlin made a smart stop at the other end.

McLaughlin's save was the better of the two. He did well to get down to save David McGoldrick's shot which looked destined for the bottom corner.

  16. 'You need to move it with pace'published at 18 mins

    Newcastle 0-0 Leeds

    Steve Stone
Former England midfielder on BBC Radio 5 live

Newcastle really need to move it with more tempo. You just can't expect to move the ball across the back and open teams.

You need to move it with pace.

  17. Postpublished at 16 mins

    Newcastle 0-0 Leeds

Jonjo Shelvey curls in a dangerous cross, Aleksandar Mitrovic nods it down and Matt Ritchie is rushing in from the right byline but his low shot is blocked. A fairly good, half chance for Newcastle.

  18. Postpublished at 14 mins

    Newcastle 0-0 Leeds

    Garry MonkImage source, Rex Features

Garry Monk's side could easily be ahead.

At the other end, Newcastle have men forward dangerously but Aleksandar Mitrovic can't quite bring down a long, high ball.

Moments later though, the hosts have a corner.

  19. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 10 mins

    Newcastle 0-0 Leeds

So close! Leeds smack the crossbar!

The free-kick eventually falls to Alfonso Pedraza on the edge of the area and his terrific effort bounces down off the bar.

Then Kemar Roofe should score from the rebound - but his header from six yards is cleared off the line. Karl Darlow did well to make himself look big.
