Man City are getting ready to bring England winger Nikita Parris on for what would be their second change.

The corner is half cleared, out to City's Kosovare Asllani inside the area, but she is leaning slightly off balance as she shoots and her effort flies just wide of the post.

Mel Lawley shows good pace down City's left and wins a corner for the hosts.

Man City bring on Tessel Middag in midfield for the hard-working Jill Scott.

That's a relatively-straight swap for the hosts, like-for-like.

Francisleide dos santos Barbosa is quick and she looks like the most likely source of a Fortuna Hjorring goal at the moment 

The Danish side are looking to get the ball in behind to the Brazil forward.

So far, City are keeping her at bay.

City's Lucy Bronze goes down on the edge of the area and City appeal for a free-kick but the referee says there is nothing in it.

Moments later, England captain Steph Houghton is caught on the head and play is paused so she can receive treatment.

Calm in possession and in control of this tie, Man City have their destiny in their own hands here.

Nothing rash, nothing silly, nothing untoward... And they should see this tie out as things stand.

The visitors make two changes. Pacy Brazilian Francisleide dos santos Barbosa comes on along with Caroline Hansen, with Sarah Hansen and Caroline Rask going off.

It has been a quiet second half so far. Man City win a throw deep in the Fortuna Hjorring half.

The hosts have kept the ball nicely since the break and won't want to give Fortuna even the faintest hint of a comeback.

If things stay like this, they will face holders Lyon in the semi-finals.

Tonight's attendance has been confirmed as 2,148.

That's very high compared to the national average for the Women's Super League and is City's biggest crowd in Europe so far this season.

But I must admit it sounds pretty low compared to last night's other Women's Champions League quarter-final second legs.

14,128 watched holders Lyon face Wolfsburg, a similar figure were in Paris as PSG beat Bayern Munich and 7,350 saw Barcelona beat Rosengard.

Perhaps a reminder that, for all the great strides forward English women's football has made in recent years, there is still a fair way to go to match other countries off the field.

In other women's football news today, Sweden goalkeeper Hedvig Lindahl has signed an extended contract with Chelsea Ladies until 2019.

Lindahl, 33, who has been with Chelsea since December 2014, won Olympic silver with her country  in Rio in 2016.

"She is probably the best goalkeeper in the world on current form," manager Emma Hayes told the  club website., external

Man City have controlled the first 45 minutes, but they did concede a couple of really big chances that they will be relieved did not lead to Fortuna Hjorring goals.

Those two nervy moments aside, the hosts have dominated possession and are good value for their 1-0 lead on the night, which has them two goals up on aggregate.
