    Arsenal 0-0 Manchester City

Some early clarification, Jesus Navas is playing at right-back, with Fernandinho in midfield. That means Navas is keeping an eye on Alexis Sanchez...

    Arsenal 0-0 Manchester City

Here we go. City, in their change of black with yellow socks, kick-off and attack the goal to the left. Arsenal, in red, are playing left to right.

All eyes on Wenger. Suit, jumper, red tie combo today. No sign of the duvet coat in this spring climate. That's usually a good sign for Arsenal. The duvet is worn in bad times.

With Manchester City's line-up, this could be one of the best attacking games we see in the Premier League.

    There's going to be fireworks.

Players in the tunnel. Nacho Monreal is having a right old chinwag with Willy Caballero. Alexis Sanchez was also having a cuddle with a very hacked-off Claudio Bravo.

"Don't worry Claudio, we'll both be on the move during the summer."

Robert Bach: Need Ozil to turn up today big time, otherwise this could be another long and embarrassing afternoon!

Plush: I think it'd be a three man defence, Fernandinho at the base of the midfield. That arrangement must be April fooling.

  7. The Wenger debate - Part 325published at 15:53 British Summer Time 2 April 2017

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Emirates Stadium

Arsene Wenger's Arsenal future is not just a matter for daily debate - it is a matter for hourly debate.

And we are seeing the consquences of this discussion again at Emirates Stadium today with another demonstration from a hardy, but relatively small, group of fans, and placards more at home during a General Election than a Premier League football match.

The smart money is currently on Wenger staying - but how would that be affected if they suffer another damaging defeat against Manchester City today?

    The debate is that fluid.

The Emirates has just taken a liberal watering from the sprinklers, with empty seats still outnumbering fans about two to one less than 10 minutes before kick-off.

About eight figures patrol the playing surface, doing nothing but wandering around.

As a Liverpool fan, can they both lose? With those line ups, it looks a distinct possibility!

The words "amicable decision" are being mentioned.

A win today maybe patches up a few cracks but I want to see a reaction from these players - they need to prove they are still on board with this.

He has a catalogue of videos of Arsenal teams throughout the years to see what we were doing in 1998, 2002? It's certainly not this so I don't see how it has gone so wrong.

It feels like "cometh the hour, cometh the man".

If ever Arsene Wenger is under pressure, today is the day.

Pre-empting the cheeky media shots that will be picked up by less savvy outlets, some fans started a protest on the bridge to the Emirates...so you had no choice but to be 'part of' the protest. Each to their own opinion, but don't be fooled by pics of huge protest crowds.

The players are out warming up on the lush green of the Emirates. Arsenal, in their red, away to the left, City on the right and in yellow. I'd say that less than 10% of the seats are populated by fans. Those on the concourse are just finishing the champagne.

Time will tell us if that Pep Guardiola has pulled off a stoke of genius, but the City selection has got me wondering about the strangest tactical decisions you've ever seen.

City using David James as a striker? England getting Harry Kane to take corners? Any time Igor Biscan got picked?

    Let me know.

On the subject of City's line-up, their own Twitter feed says that Fernandinho will play at right full-back, behind Jesus Navas.

How often do you seen Arsenal going into a match with the grittier midfield?

Not since Patrick Vieira and Emmanuel Petit were butchering the Premier League.
