If we can all agree on the fact that neither of these sides can defend, I'm proposing a radical idea. Never mind Wenger out, get Tony Pulis in. If Arsene got TP in as his number two, that soft under belly would soon be hardened up. Pep Guardiola can hire Sam Allardyce too.

    Just imagine...

Another in the book. Goalscorer Shkodran Mustafi on Leroy Sane. Cards edge ahead of goals once more.

I do feel that these City players have still got an awful lot more to give in this match.

It might end up 4-4 here. I think I went a bit early with 2-2...

Save! David Ospina gets down well, low to his right to beat away Fernandinho's edge-of-the-box drive. After that, Ospina goes down after a challenge from Nicolas Otamendi. Remember, Arsenal are already without Petr Cech...

What a leap that is from Mustafi!

From a City point of view, you wonder why no one is defending that?

Now, crucially, will Arsenal hold on or will City go into overdrive again?

    My prediction was 2-2 actually.

Now it's Manchester City's turn to go to sleep, allowing Shkodran Mustafi the freedom of their penalty box. It's so, so easy for the Arsenal centre-half, who wanders into the box to meet Mesut Ozil's teasing corner, even barging Danny Welbeck out of the way to head into the far corner. Surely Arsenal can make a better fist of getting level this time?

  11. Poor body language from Sanchezpublished at 17:10 British Summer Time 2 April 2017

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Emirates Stadium

Alexis Sanchez loses possession then stays down on his haunches - then lazily watches with his hands on his hips and standing still as Shkodran Mustafi does likewise.

Not great body language at all from the Chilean.

This second half has started the same as the first. It's end to end stuff here.

Laurent Koscielny has an Achilles tendon injury. Gunners fans try to rally behind their team, all while Yaya Toure's presence points to a less open second half. City have made the better start, using the width of the pitch. Great ball from Jesus Navas (yes, really), only for an unmarked Sergio Aguero to head wide. Erm, defenders? Any chance?

Arsenal right to left in this second half, the Emirates now more gloomy overhead. Kevin de Bruyne does well to get down the right, but his pass is behind Sergio Aguero. Arsenal's defending, though, is, erm, uncertain.

  15. YELLOW CARDpublished at 47 mins

    Arsenal 1-2 Manchester City

Yaya Toure slips alongside Fernandinho in front of the City back four. Fernandinho was playing a lone hand in the first half, like Cnut holding back the tide. Speaking of the Brazilian, he's in the book for a trip on Alexis Sanchez.

    Arsenal 1-2 Manchester City

Bad, bad news for Arsenal. Laurent Koscielny has been forced off, replaced by Gabriel. Consider this. The last two times Koscielny has had to go off, Arsenal have lost 5-1.

City have replaced Raheem Sterling with Yaya Toure. One suspects that is tactical.

  20. 'Sanchez is killing the pace'published at 16:54 British Summer Time 2 April 2017

    Arsenal 1-2 Manchester City

    Ian Wright
    Former Arsenal striker

I'm very worried about Arsenal through the middle.

You can see the confidence is low but Man City can just get at us too quickly.

We used to be a self-motivating dressing room but I just don't see that in this team.

We have to look at Sanchez - he does not release that ball as quick as he should. He is killing the pace. If we can get the ball in the box quicker, then we can get at them.
