    Brighton 2-0 Wigan

A reminder of where that leaves Brighton.

The Seagulls can't officially be promoted at the end of this game, but assuming they don't throw this two-goal lead away, they will be 15 points clear of Huddersfield, who will have five games to play.

So, they won't be mathematically promoted, but Brighton's vastly superior goal difference makes the confirmation a mere formality.

Wigan have shown no signs of a response since falling two goals behind.

    Brighton 1-0 Wigan

The pace has slowed a little at Brighton, unsurprising given how quickly the hosts started this second half.

Wigan make a double substitution as they look to try to get back on level terms and bolster their survival hopes, with Nick Powell and Ryan Colclough on for Ryan Tunnicliffe and Gabriel Obertan.

Wigan keeper Jakob Haugaard has looked less than assured today, and he almost costs his side a goal early in the second half.

Haugaard drops a fairly simple cross right in front of Tomer Hemed, whose shot is blocked on the line.

The Latics are then given some respite as Anthony Knockaert is shown a yellow card for a foul in the box.

    Tales of promotion and relegation

Jack Richardson: I have only ever been a fan through Argyle's relegations, it will be new and fantastic to experience promotion at last.

Tom Goddard: Ipswich finally winning promotion to the Prem' - an epic 4-2 win over Barnsley at Wembley, May 2000. "Reuser....Premiership!"

Bruce Halling: Southend - from being a goal down in the play-off final after 121 minutes to promoted after winning on pens. Will never forget that day!
