Celtic 2-0 Rangers
The Celtic fans had plenty to cheer about as their team set up a Scottish Cup final against Aberdeen
Celtic 2-0 Rangers
A two-goal difference does not quite tell the story of this match. Credit to Rangers for their work rate and organisation but they could not cope with Celtic's superior passing and invention. Though Kenny Miller did get a few shots in at goal, Celtic are worthy winners and their treble dreams are still alive.

Joe Dodoo whisks a shot at the Celtic goal from 22 yards and Craig Gordon has to be lively to palm it away to his left.

Inches away from making it number three, and that’s Tom Rogic at his best, in that position right at the middle of the box. He blasts it low to Wes Foderingham’s right-hand side, and it could have easily been three.
Celtic 2-0 Rangers
There are three minutes of injury time. Rangers need a miracle.

Only Wes Foderingham's right-hand post denies Celtic a third goal at Hampden as the big Australian rattles in a curling drive with his left foot.

The contrast between this match and last season's Scottish Cup semi-final could not be greater. Last year at this time, Mark Warburton's Rangers side played the better football and emerged deserved winners. This time round, Celtic have been a class above in every department and few would bet against them completing the treble now.

"I think the last five, six minutes that’s what’s going to happen," predicts former Rangers striker Kris Boyd on BBC Radio Scotland, as Celtic race downfield after robbing the attacking Gers.
"Rangers will push on to try and get back into the game and Celtic will try to hit them on the counterattack."
Celtic 2-0 Rangers
Rangers are at least troubling the Celtic defence now, Martyn Waghorn's diving header the latest chance. At the other end Celtic had a three-on-two opportunity but squandered it with slack passing.

It's a switch of wide players by Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers as James Forrest replaces Patrick Roberts.

"Celtic are getting very, very sloppy, and giving Rangers the ability to get in there," cautions former Celtic goalkeeper Pat Bonner on BBC Radio Scotland, as Kenny Miller is denied by Craig Gordon from close-range. "But that was another critical save from Craig Gordon."
"That’s encouraging for next week's league derby from a Rangers point of view," adds former Rangers striker Kris Boyd.
"For how bad Rangers have been this week, they’ve still had three or four chances at this stage in the game. But it’s come from getting it direct forward and asking a question of Celtic’s back two, and Kenny's the only player that's really had an opportunity today."
Celtic 2-0 Rangers
Rangers are getting some chances at last and Kenny Miller arrows a shot at goal that rebounds off Craig Gordon and into the crumpled Jozo Simunovic. The ball certainly hits the Celtic defender on the arm but he didn't know much about it, though Miller is furious that he is not awarded a penalty by Willie Collum.
Celtic 2-0 Rangers
Celtic defender Jozo Simunovic is booked for a bad challenge on Barrie McKay.
Celtic 2-0 Rangers
Former Rangers striker Kris Boyd on BBC Radio Scotland: "Craig Gordon’s in a good position - even if it was on target, I think he was getting back to tip it over the bar.
"You’d fancy Kenny Miller to at least hit the target from there."
Celtic 2-0 Rangers
Kenny Miller goes close for desperate Rangers with a left-footed lob which drifts just over the bar. He had Craig Gordon scrambling back there.
Celtic 2-0 Rangers
Celtic's Callum McGregor, who scored with such a nicely controlled shot, is replaced by Tom Rogic for the last quarter of an hour.

Celtic need to get back to their passing game – they’ve lost it for the last six, seven minutes. They’re taking chances and getting caught on the ball a little bit. Just keep that passing going that they were doing so effectively for most of this game. That’s why they’re in this position at 2-0.

I can’t believe what I’m seeing at times in Rangers’ passing. We expect them to work hard, but it’s their quality on the ball they need to improve, which has been very, very poor today.
