Rangers toiling badly here. They cannot get near this Celtic side who look so up for this this afternoon. Complete domination so far. Perhaps time for Pedro Caixinha to have a rethink in terms of formation.

Rangers string a few passes together thanks to Danny Wilson, Jason Holt and Myles Beerman but they are being closed down so quickly that they lose possession and the have to expend energy winning the ball back. However, how many times have you seen the momentum change in Old Firm games like this?

Is it my imagination or has Pedro Caixinha aged since midday? He's suddenly looking very anxious. What a difference a goal would make to Rangers' confidence in this match.

Celtic have this game firmly by the scruff - not only are they a goal to the good, but Brendan Rodgers' treble-seekers have gobbled up some 85% possession.

"Rangers can’t get out," says former Rangers striker Kris Boyd on BBC Radio Scotland. "The three forward players are running about that much trying to stop Celtic getting the ball, that when the ball comes up, their touch is off.

"They’re fighting for difficult balls, and Celtic are trying to snuff Rangers out, and then you see the counterattack and pace Celtic have, it’s frightening."

Jason Holt slides in to concede a corner just as Patrick Roberts moved into a dangerous area in the Rangers box. Stuart Armstrong's delivery from the right is met by Moussa Dembele - that's twice he has won headers from corners - but drifts over the bar.

The already buoyant Celtic supporters have been further heartened by that early goal. Their team has been dominant so far. Rangers can't get near the ball. The frustration among their fans is palpable.

Stunning goal from Celtic. So simple but effective. Dembele did brilliantly to control the high ball and when he laid it into the path of McGregor he was coolness personified when he side footed it past Foderingham.

"It was simplicity really,  the ball over the top of Danny Wilson for Moussa Dembele to run onto, but it was a brilliant support run from McGregor.

"And when the ball came to him, first time, left- foot, he curled it round low into the right-hand corner. Wes Foderingham didn’t really react, because it caught him by surprise. It was a brilliant little pass round the goalkeeper."

Callum McGregor finishes with such a sweetly controlled shot that it left Wes Foderingham rooted to the spot. He was set up by Moussa Dembele and his first-time strike with his left foot was nothing short of perfection.

Celtic's classy midfielder Stuart Armstrong curls a right-foot shot a whisker wide of Wes Foderingham's left-hand post.

Former Rangers striker Kris Boyd on BBC Radio Scotland: "Rangers don’t want to drop any further than they are, because it’s giving them an opportunity to get in Celtic’s faces when they get over the halfway line. If they drop any deeper, Celtic’s creative players should get on the ball and cause problems."

There's a pattern emerging already, with Celtic in control of the ball and Rangers sitting fairly deep. They do have forwards Kenny Miller, Joe Garner and Martyn Waghorn to harry Celtic's players when they try to initiate a move.

"It was a bit of a needless corner to give away and the worrying thing for Rangers is that Moussa Dembele got his head on it straight away."

Andy Halliday is booked for a shocking sliding challenge on Celtic midfielder Patrick Roberts. The referee had waved play on after the foul and Callum McGregor latched on to the loose ball, cut in from the right and smashed a low shot at the Gers goal, where Wes Foderingham was well positioned to gather.

Rangers had kick-off but soon lose possession and Celtic win a corner within a minute. Moussa Dembele gets on the end of it but heads narrowly wide. Wes Foderingham has a goal kick to clear the Rangers lines.

We're off and running.

Brendan Rodgers and Pedro Caixinha embrace in the technical area. Smiles, warmth - is this an Old Firm game?! Great to see.
