Sheffield Wednesday release club statement
The play-offs are never dull, are they?
We were treated to another evening of high drama at Hillsborough last night, as Huddersfield edged past Sheffield Wednesday on penalties to reach the Championship play-off final.
Owls boss Carlos Carvalhal refused to discuss his future in the immediate aftermath - and owner Dejphon Chansiri has also avoided the subject in a club statement released this evening.
"We will analyse every area of the business and improve it to ensure we are prepared for the next challenge ahead," he said on the club's website., external
"I woke up this morning with the same heavy heart as you all. To lose such a game on penalties is indescribable unless you have experienced that feeling."

The things we do for football...
Tonight's Carlisle following is certainly larger than the contingent they brought to Devon on the final day of the regular season, but bear this in mind.
Some of the Cumbrians in that away end have now travelled to Exeter twice in less than two weeks to follow their team - that's almost 1400 miles covered in all.
Luton 2-1 Blackpool
Luton win a free-kick in an almost identical position to Scott Cuthbert's goal, but it is headed clear for a corner, which Blackpool manage to deal with and the referee blows the whistle for the break.
What a breathless half of football.
Luton 2-1 Blackpool
Luton are still pressing for another before the break to go ahead in the tie overall.
We're into the final minute of four additional minutes.
Luton won't want this half to end.
Scott Cuthbert
You can't say it's not been coming, and it's Scott Cuthbert who just missed that big chance moments ago making amends.
Alan Sheehan whips in the free-kick to the back post and Cuthbert is totally unmarked to head home to send Kenilworth Road mad.
Eight goals in this tie so far. I love the play-offs.
Luton 1-1 Blackpool
Another free-kick given away by Blackpool. Another defender in the book.
This time left-back Andy Taylor brings James Justin down on the right-hand side and is booked by the referee.
This free-kick is in a very dangerous position.
Exeter 1-0 Carlisle
The Grecians are heading through as it stands, thanks to Ollie Watkins' early goal.
Carlisle may well feel they should have had a penalty.
Exeter 1-0 Carlisle
One minute of added time has been signaled at the end of the first half at St James Park, where Carlisle are on top but - crucially - behind in the tie.
Luton 1-1 Blackpool
Looking at that Scott Cuthbert chance again, he was totally, totally free two yards from goal and didn't get anywhere near the ball when it looked for all the world he'd just knock it in. What a miss.
Luton win another corner, but it evades everyone. Blackpool are just hanging on here.
Luton 1-1 Blackpool
What a chance for Luton Town defender Scott Cuthbert! How did he miss?
A free-kick from a similar position to the goal is curled into the box by Olly Lee and Cuthbert looks for all the world to be heading it in, but he somehow missed the ball totally.
Exeter 1-0 Carlisle
Carlisle should be level! Luke Joyce whips a fine ball to the far post and Nicholas Adams has time and space to volley home... But he places it over the bar.
That's a big opportunity wasted.
Luton 1-1 Blackpool
Shortly after all of that, Kelvin Mellor then went down with a nasty looking head injury. Maybe that will wipe the memory of the last few minutes.
Luton then win a corner, which picks out Danny Hylton, but he can't get a strike away.
The atmosphere at Kenilworth Road has just been turned up to 11.
Exeter 1-0 Carlisle
Oooh deary me, is that a penalty? It might be. A high, right-wing cross comes in for Carlisle and Exeter's Troy Brown is challenging to clear it in the middle but, as he does so, his arm goes up in the air.
Did his arm make contact with the ball? The replays are inconclusive, but it might have done. It's a really close one. You've seen them given, that's for sure. This time, the referee says no.
Kelvin Mellor OG
Luton are back into the match and it's not a good few minutes if you're Kelvin Mellor.
From the free-kick that he gave away, the ball breaks to Alan Sheehan, who fires left-footed at goal from near the penalty spot and it is diverted into the goal by the Blackpool defender.
Sheehan's striker looked to be going wide of the mark, so it looks like it'll go down as Mellor's own goal.
We have a one-goal match again.
Luton 0-1 Blackpool
First yellow card of the game goes to Blackpool right-back Kelvin Mellor for a late tackle on the left-hand side.
I'm surprised the first card has not come sooner.
Exeter 1-0 Carlisle
Carlisle are having a really strong spell now. After successive, dangerous set-pieces, the ball bounces kindly in the box for Jamie Devitt, but his left-footed shot is blocked.
Luton 0-1 Blackpool
Blackpool midfielder Jack Payne takes a wild strike at goal from about 30 yards out, but it's miles over the bar, probably into a back garden of one of the houses that surround Kenilworth Road.
A rare foray forward for the visitors.

Simon: YES OLLIE WATKINS!!! Been an absolute hero for us all season

We hope the young'un gets well soon, Colin.
Luton 0-1 Blackpool
Tom Aldred is able to continue but he can do nothing to stop Danny Hyton getting free on the left to fire in a cross, which somehow evades everyone.
Then, in a flurry of activity Hylton tumbles to the ground rather theatrically in the area while a Blackpool defender had his hands on him - the referee giving nothing - before Isaac Vassell fired tamely into the hands of Sam Slocombe.
