    Bolton 0-0 Peterborough

It's been a sedate opening five minutes at the Macron Stadium, with no chances for either side.

Peterborough send in a cross from the left, but it's far too close to Bolton keeper Mark Howard, and there weren't too many Posh players looking to attack it.

Rochdale, who head into the day as outside hopes of reaching the League One play-off places needing both Millwall and Southend to fail to win, have been handed a boost.

Their opponents Bradford, who have already wrapped up a play-off spot, have made nine changes for the game, with Alex Jones and Rory McArdle the only survivors.

Southend, meanwhile, who need to win and hope Millwall fail to win, or draw or see Millwall lose and Rochdale fail to win, will be relying on the firepower of an experienced duo against strugglers Bury.

Simon Cox and Marc-Antoine Fortune start up front for the Essex side, while Bury have the equally experienced Ryan Lowe and Tom Pope leading the line.

Millwall, who are aiming for a win away at Bristol Rovers to make sure of their play-off position after losing their last two matches, have the familiar face of Steve Morison up front.

The 33-year-old has scored just one goal in his last 13 games but partners Lee Gregory up front for the Lions.

Peterborough are also unchanged, though Ryan Tafazolli and Gwion Edwards are back among the substitutes, with Jerome Binnon-Williams and Anthony Grant left out of the squad.

Gillingham are facing a fight to stay in League One today, but they will not be able to call on the services of striker Rory Donnelly.

The Northern Irishman scored in the Gills' 3-2 defeat by Fleetwood last week, but he was suspended by the club on Friday "with immediate effect"

With the 25-year-old out of contract at Priestfield in summer, we may have seen the last of him in a Gillingham shirt, regardless of their result today.

  13. Sharp tops the chartspublished at 11:44 British Summer Time 30 April 2017

Few players have had more of an impact on League One than Billy Sharp.

The 31-year-old has scored 29 goals for Sheffield United this season to top the division's goalscoring charts.

Sharp is five goals clear of his nearest rival, with James Vaughan having scored 24 times for relegation-threatened Bury.

  14. Rosler hoping for Bolton nervespublished at 11:42 British Summer Time 30 April 2017

Fleetwood v Port Vale (12:00 BST)

Fleetwood go into the final day of the League One season hoping for second-placed Bolton to slip up against Peterborough and offer up their automatic promotion place.

The Cod Army are two points adrift in third place, but their manager Uwe Rosler is hoping his side can take inspiration from their dramatic 3-2 win over Gillingham last week and make Bolton nervous.

"Bolton are a massive club. Financially they really need to go up – they fill their stadium," he told BBC Radio Lancashire.

"They already started celebrating at Port Vale (last weekend) until we scored in the 92nd minute. Hopefully that can all play in our favour and they’ll get a little bit nervous."

Not that you'd know it from these pictures.

Lee Clark's Bury start the day two points and two places above the drop zone but the Shakers boss looks relaxed about the challenge ahead.

In contrast, Southend manager Phil Brown, whose side are one point and one place outside the play-offs, looks a little pensive as he chats on his phone.

What goes through a manager's mind on a day like today?

There will be no nerves at Bramall Lane today, as Sheffield United celebrate their League One title at home to bottom side Chesterfield.

The Blades have been a class apart this season, 14 points clear of second-placed Bolton and having scored 12 more goals than any other team.

A win today would take them onto 100 points for the season, a quite incredible achievement for Chris Wilder's side.

  17. Dempsey stops Bolton celebrationspublished at 11:34 British Summer Time 30 April 2017

Eight days ago, Bolton looked set to avoid a nervy final-day finale.

David Wheater's goal against Port Vale prompted a pitch invasion from their fans at Vale Park, while Gary Madine's goal made it 2-0 at full-time.

That seemed like it was enough to secure a return to the Championship with Fleetwood being held 2-2 at struggling Gillingham.

But Kyle Dempsey had other ideas, scoring in the second minute of second-half added time to keep Fleetwood's dreams alive for one more week.

  18. Fleetwood aim to keep climbingpublished at 11:31 British Summer Time 30 April 2017

Fleetwood v Port Vale (12:00 BST)

    Fleetwood TownImage source, Rex Features

Few teams have had a more remarkable rise than Fleetwood Town in recent years.

The Cod Army are bidding for their seventh promotion in 13 seasons, having been a non-league club for all of their history until reaching League Two in 2012.

Fleetwood struggled in League One last season, finishing 19th in the table, but Uwe Rosler's appointment as manager in July has them on the brink of reaching the Championship for the very first time.

Today, they face a Port Vale side battling to avoid relegation, knowing they will need to win and hope Bolton can't take any points at home to Peterborough.

  19. Bolton overcome struggles off pitchpublished at 11:27 British Summer Time 30 April 2017

    Bolton v Peterborough (12:00 BST)

Mark Beevers and Josh VelaImage source, Rex Features

Bolton were relegated to League One last season after a difficult season on and off the pitch, with the paperwork on the club’s takeover by Dean Holdsworth and Ken Anderson signed minutes before a High Court winding-up hearing.

On the pitch this season there have been no such problems, as manager Phil Parkinson, hired away from Bradford before the season, has built the division’s toughest defensive side, conceding only 36 goals in 45 games.

If they can keep another clean sheet today at home to Peterborough, promotion should be theirs at the first attempt.

With Chesterfield, Coventry and Swindon already relegated (have the Robins admitted it yet?), three other teams - Port Vale, Gillingham and Bury - go into the final day of the season in serious danger.

Port Vale enjoyed a stay of execution on Tuesday by winning at mid-table Walsall, but still start the afternoon in the bottom four and face the unenviable task of facing a Fleetwood side still with a chance of automatic promotion.

Maybe Vale's best hope is a couple of early Bolton goals.

Michael Brown's side know defeat at the Highbury Stadium will send them down, as will a draw unless Gillingham lose by six goals or more at Northampton.

And even a win will not be enough to save them if Gillingham win and Bury avoid defeat.

In theory Shrewsbury could be dragged into trouble too but that would require a Vale win, a Shrews defeat and a 10-goal swing in goal difference. Yep, that's unlikely.
