Pity they voted for the mayor of Manchester the other week, Zabaleta may have got it!

Guess who's got the man of the match award?

That man Pablo. He's only been on for 30 minutes!

  3. 'Liverpool will be fine'published at 21:49 British Summer Time 16 May 2017

    Arsenal 2-0 Sunderland

    Sir Trevor Brooking
Former West Ham and England midfielder at Emirates Stadium

If Arsenal got five or six tonight it could have put pressure on Liverpool.

But that sums up Arsenal's season.

I think Liverpool will be fine.

  4. Postpublished at 21:49 British Summer Time 16 May 2017

    Manchester City 3-1 West Brom

While trying to clear another dangerous attack from West Brom involving Hal Robson-Kanu, Nicolas Otamendi has clattered into the post and it looks like he's really hurt his arm.

The Manchester City defender is taken off for treatment, and it looks like he can continue.

  5. 'Super finish'published at 21:48 British Summer Time 16 May 2017

    Manchester City 3-1 West Brom

    Mark Lawrenson
Former Liverpool defender at Etihad Stadium

A lovely cross from the right. For once, West Brom committed players forward. Super finish.

  6. goal

GOAL - Manchester City 3-1 West Brompublished at 21:46 British Summer Time 16 May 2017

    Hal Robson-Kanu (86 mins)

    Where did that come from?

Hal Robson-Kanu slots in from close range after a really good cross from the right from Allan Nyom.

A consolation for the Baggies, but a goal none the less.

  8. Postpublished at 21:42 British Summer Time 16 May 2017

    Manchester City 3-0 West Brom

We've spoken a lot about Manchester City/Champions League places tonight and not really discussed West Brom's appalling form in the last two months.

They haven't won since beating Arsenal on 18 March. Yet they still hang on to that eighth place...for now.

They've only had one shot on target tonight.

Andrew Neil: Teams pay big money for strikers coz they win games on their own. I reckon Pickford won four of Sunderland's six wins this season.

James Corrigan: Give Sanchez WHATEVER he wants. We need him to stay.

Nick Powell: Tonight has just shown the importance of Sanchez and Ozil to Arsenal.

  10. 'Sanchez is priceless'published at 21:39 British Summer Time 16 May 2017

    Arsenal 2-0 Sunderland

    Sir Trevor Brooking
Former West Ham and England midfielder at Emirates Stadium

Sanchez is priceless, they must not let him go

But it took a long time to get that first goal. If they got that after half hour then we would have probably had four or five.

  11. What did Pep say?published at 21:39 British Summer Time 16 May 2017

    Manchester City 3-0 West Brom

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport at the Etihad Stadium

After replacing skipper Vincent Kompany just then, Pep Guardiola shook hands with the Belgian, then had a long chat with him.

Guardiola was hiding his mouth in that secretive kind of way and Kompany seemed to be nodding in appreciation.

Looked very deep. Wonder what it was.

  12. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:37 British Summer Time 16 May 2017

    Manchester City 3-0 West Brom

Vincent Kompany comes off and John Stones comes on.

Kompany, who I believe may be the nicest man in football, has handed the captain's armband to Pablo Zabaleta.

The crowd loved that. Zabaleta loved that, and he's fighting back the tears. Totes emosh.

  13. FULL-TIMEpublished at 21:35 British Summer Time 16 May 2017

    Job done for Arsenal.

They will start the final day of the season a point behind Liverpool in third.

They're even applauding Zabaleta for just catching the ball to take a throw in.

  15. Postpublished at 21:32 British Summer Time 16 May 2017

    Arsenal 2-0 Sunderland

Theo Walcott, who's on for Olivier Giroud, does a lovely pirouette in the box and grapples with Bryan Oviedo.

The Arsenal man appeals as if to say there's a foul, but the referee waves him away.

  16. Januzaj will be frustratedpublished at 21:31 British Summer Time 16 May 2017

    Arsenal 2-0 Sunderland

    Sir Trevor Brooking
Former West Ham and England midfielder at Emirates Stadium

    Good run by Januzaj.

He will be very frustrated he hasn't done more up to now in his career. Really hasn't had the impact Sunderland would have hoped for.

  17. YELLOW CARDpublished at 21:30 British Summer Time 16 May 2017

    Manchester City 3-0 West Brom

An odd yellow card for Leroy Sane, who I think has been booked for simulation, even though he was caught on the shoulder by Darren Fletcher as he danced through the West Brom defence.

    Slightly harsh.

  18. Postpublished at 21:28 British Summer Time 16 May 2017

    Manchester City 3-0 West Brom

Over at the Etihad, Ben Foster's just pulled off another save to deny Gabriel Jesus.

It's all about the keepers tonight.

  19. GREAT SAVE!published at 21:28 British Summer Time 16 May 2017

    Arsenal 2-0 Sunderland

Arrrgh - Jordan Pickford is brilliant! He's just tipped Shkodran Mustafi's effort on to the bar.

Surely he's got to stay in the Prem next season?

  20. Who else is going?published at 21:26 British Summer Time 16 May 2017

    Manchester City 3-0 West Brom

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport at the Etihad Stadium

We know Pablo Zabaleta is leaving Manchester City this summer but he might not be on his own.

Yaya Toure is out of contract, although he seems set to be offered a new one.

Less certain are the futures of goalkeeper Willy Caballero, full-back Gael Clichy and winger Jesus Navas, whose deals expire in the summer.

The latter two have gone out to warm up.
