Paul Pogba has really started the game well - he has dominated that midfield so far. It is a lucky goal and the keeper couldn't do anything there.

We have the unfit players and travelling party in front of us and when that goal went in the celebrations were huge.

Ajax respond quickly to win a corner but Davinson Sanchez can only head over the top.

They have youth on their side but they are also inexperienced and now trail to a Manchester United side led by Jose Mourinho.

It could be a long night for the Dutch side.

Jose Mourinho looks, not worried, but certainly not happy. Having said earlier that he would be pleased with the opening 10 minutes, his side have retreated deeper and deeper.

Well played Amin Younes! He's just been called up into the Germany squad and you can see why, he easily breezes past Ander Herrera to the edge of the area before cutting the ball back to Bertrand Traore.

It's not an easy angle for the on-loan Chelsea man but he hits a good powerful shot which Sergio Romero has to save.

I have watched Davinson Sanchez a lot this season and he can be very clumsy and late on some of his challenges.

United started higher and now they have dropped back into a much deeper position. They cannot allow Ajax this much time on the ball and get this comfortable tonight.

Those Ajax full-backs really do push on. When they have possession they are happy to leave two men back with Marcus Rashford.

Ajax are having all of the ball at the moment. Monopoly.

That's good from Ajax, patient build-up which leads to Amin Younes putting in a very testing cross from the left wing, but Paul Pogba had tracked his runner all the way into the heart of the penalty area and he makes a commanding clearing header.

Very loud Ajax chants and songs in Stockholm at the moment.

Jose Mourinho must be very pleased with this start. Manchester United's greater experience is showing at the moment. They are carrying the threat.

The Ajax full-backs are pushing high up the park which is isolating the two centre-backs. Rashford has the beating of them and once or twice already he has got free. Rashford is quicker and stronger than them.

With that chance, Fellaini has got to throw himself at the ball. He stayed on his two feet and waited. He has to dive. If he dives it is a goal.

Close! Juan Mata gets space from a quick throw, he volleys a shot/cross into the middle and it's just ahead of Marouane Fellaini in the middle! Could he have got on to the end of that?

You can already tell it's going to be a brilliant battle between 19 year-old Marcus Rashford and those two young Ajax centre-backs...

First points to Marcus Rashford. He easily outpaces Davinson Sanchez, who is in a spot of bother before he rather buys a free-kick from the England man.

Rashford then beats him again and puts in a cross which is cleared away.

Ajax captain Davy Klaassen is in very close attendance to Manchester United's Paul Pogba in these early stages - but Manchester United will also have to keep an eye on the midfielder with a real eye for goal.

Marouane Fellaini is playing very high up the pitch, almost in the hole behind Marcus Rashford, and Manchester United aren't afraid to hit the ball long and high in the early stages. They are testing that young Ajax defence.
