It feels a long time since Connor Jennings drew Tranmere level with a superb strike.

Tranmere have failed to beat Forest Green in the league this season, including a 1-0 defeat by Mark Cooper's side in April.

The goalscorer that day - Kaiyne Woolery of course.

It was a compelling first half. We were treated to three fine goals but Kaiyne Woolery's calm finish gives Forest Green a two-goal cushion at the break that you simply could not see coming 10 minutes ago.

The Green army away to the left are delirious. They're going barmy!

This man may have just turned the fate of both of these sides.

Kaiyne Woolery has been the proverbial thorn in the side of the Tranmere defence and has two goals to his name already this afternoon.

Could Forest Green be on course to reach the Football League for the first time in their history? Or Will Tranmere produce a fightback to end their two-year exile in non-league?

    Tranmere 1-3 Forest Green

Tranmere win a corner deep into stoppage time and it drops to Micheal Ihiekwe, but he can't sort his feet out to get a shot away and Forest Green clear.

The referee then brings the first half to a close. What a first half that was.

    Tranmere 1-3 Forest Green

We're into three minutes of added time and Tranmere are throwing it all forward as Steve McNulty hits a ball into the box.

Weak appeals for a handball from the Tranmere fans, as they look to have a real mountain to climb to get back into this match.

Have these last few minutes just changed everything?

A ball is lumped forward by Forest Green and taken down by Tranmere defender Liam Ridehalgh.

He dawdles, allowing Kaiyne Woolery to nip in, run through on goal and finish with such composure for his second goal of the afternoon.

This game doesn't do bad goals! A third stunner.

Christian Doidge has 27 goals for the season, and there weren't many better than that. He caught it so cleanly.

    Tranmere 1-2 Forest Green

    Another stonker of a goal...

Forest Green forward Christian Doidge gets himself one-on-one with Steve McNulty on the left, cuts inside on his right and fires an absolute peach into the far corner.

Tranmere want a foul in the build-up, but the referee is not having any of it.

    Tranmere 1-1 Forest Green

    Another superb chance.

Tranmere midfielder Connor Jennings puts in a low cross across the face of goal, but it is just, and I mean just, out of the reach of Andy Mangan.

This game is providing so much drama already.

    Tranmere 1-1 Forest Green

That is an absolutely remarkable save from Tranmere keeper Scott Davies.

Keanu Marsh-Brown latches on to a ball over the top, spots Davies coming out off his line so decides to chip him, only for Davies to scramble back and hook the ball out of the goal just inches from the line.

He also does well to get it away from the onrushing attacker in lime green.

Tranmere's James Norwood is on the charge into the area again but this time Drissa Traore is there to block him off and prevent him getting any further.

    What a chance!

Tranmere's James Norwood breaks through one-on-one with Sam Russell, but the goalkeeper gets his body in front of the powerful strike at goal.

Norwood holds his head in his hands. He knows his side could easily be ahead.

    Tranmere 1-1 Forest Green

Tranmere win a free-kick in a great place to whip in a cross, but Liam Ridehalgh's left-footed delivery evades everyone and goes out for a throw in. The game has lost a bit of its edge now.

    Tranmere 1-1 Forest Green

Tranmere are on top at the moment, but Adam Buxton's cross is cleared with ease and then Jeff Hughes' attempted throughball goes straight through to the keeper.

They've taken the sting out of Forest Green.

Connor Jennings now has seven goals in his last eight matches. A man finding form at just the right time.

Are we going to get a third goal as good as the previous two?

Tranmere have the momentum and are pressing Forest Green but there's no way through for now.

What a game we have on our hands.

It's a very neat team goal. Connor Jennings passed, moved, and smashed past Sam Russell.

It's an even crisper strike that Kaiyne Woolery's opener.

Forest Green opened the scoring with a great goal but this is an absolute pearler from Connor Jennings.

Lois Maynard lays off Jennings just outside the area, he swings his right foot at it and it flies into the back of the net right in front of his own fans.

Forest Green keeper Sam Russell had no chance.

    Tranmere 0-1 Forest Green

A little bit of an edge appearing in this game now as, when the ball is dead, Charlie Cooper is nudged over by James Norwood and goes down like a sack of potatoes, holding his face.

He went down rather easily, it has to be said... Tranmere fans not happy.

    Tranmere 0-1 Forest Green

Since the goal, Forest Green have nullified any Tranmere attack and now have a chance of their own.

Mark Ellis is so dangerous with a low, flat long throw and his latest effort is towards Christian Doidge, but the Forest Green forward cannot keep his header down.

That was some hit. Tranmere may have given Kaiyne Woolery a little bit too much time, but he took full advantage alright. Scott Davies couldn't get down low enough in time. It found the bottom corner perfectly.
