Dominic Solanke, looking like a boxer who has been in the ring with Anthony Joshua, has a blob of grease on his head, as well as a bandage, to stop the cut and he is able to come back on.

With Solanke able to continue, Paul Simpson makes a change with Ainsley Maitland-Niles coming on for Ademola Lookman.

There is knee on knee contact, the penalty was given and rightly so.

But what a magnificent save! I thought at one point Freddie Woodman had gone the wrong way!

After a consultation, the penalty is given and Adalberto Penaranda takes it.

But what a save. What a save. What a save.

The ball is well struck down the middle, goalkeeper Freddie Woodman throws up his left hand and keeps the ball out, before England then smuggle it out of play. Danger over. What drama.

Instantly the referee goes to the TV replay. This is where it could get interesting.

  12. PENALTY to Venezuelapublished at 72 mins

The referee points to the penalty spot after Kyle Walker-Peters brings down Adalberto Penaranda.

But wait, we go to the video assistant referee.

This is the first competition where a video assistant referee has been used at an underage tournament. Controversy.

There is blood, but he is not spark out cold, he's rolling around and that he hasn't been knocked unconscious is actually a good sign.

    That is a painful one.

England's Dominic Solanke challenges with Venezuela defender Nahuel Ferraresi and the pair accidentally clash heads.

Solanke's head is cut and there is a lot of blood. A bit gruesome for Sunday lunchtime. He needs medical attention and may not be able to continue.

Earlier in the competition, Fikayo Tomori scored an outrageous own goal with a 50-yard backpass that went past then England goalkeeper Dean Henderson. Tomori's heart must have skipped a beat as he just tried to head the ball back to goalkeeper Freddie Woodman.

Tomori gets a lot on the header, much more than was neccessary, but luckily Woodman's reactions are good enough to save further embarrassment for the Chelsea centre-half. England still lead.

Who have you seen play before they were famous?

Yorkshire Steve: Used to referee in the Teesside Junior Football Alliance when Stewart Downing was playing for Marton U13. Didn't stand out!

Claire Butler: Saw pundit Trevor Sinclair score the only goal for England U21s against Demark in 1994...

Kieran Russell: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, I'm sure I saw him play Brentford when he was at Southampton when he was 16 or 17.
