    Fractions.

Tammy Abraham is almost put through one-on-one with the goalkeeper, but United defender Phil Jones stretches out a leg to deny the Swansea striker.

At the other end, Henrikh Mkhitayan - who has been rather quiet today - drills a shot at goal from outside the area, which takes a nick away for a corner.

Nothing doing from the set piece.

Ex-Celtic and Wales striker on BBC Radio 5 live

I think Tammy Abraham has done OK, but he has looked a bit isolated at times.

That's because Swansea have not really created any chances for him; but also it's difficult for him up there against Eric Bailly and Phil Jones.

He is enthusiastic and he has a physical presence; he should get plenty of games this season.

    Good chance, well worked.

Swansea move the ball around nicely and a cross comes into the box for Tammy Abraham.

The on loan striker, without a defender around him, climbs to plant a header into the stand behind David de Gea's goal.

Should have made the goalkeeper work, at the very least.

United have not hit the swashbuckling heights of their opening 4-0 thrashing of West Ham - but they haven't needed to against this dogged but limited Swansea side.

The visitors continue to dominate possession and, although they are struggling to turn that into clear scoring opportunities, they have barely been threatened by a rather blunt looking Swans attack.

Strikers Jordan Ayew and Tammy Abraham have worked relentlessly to pressurise United’s defenders, but neither has had a proper sight on goal as their team-mates struggle to hold on to the ball.

    Nah.

Left-footed shank over the crossbar from 25 yards out.

    A shocker.

United do manage another shot on target, but again, Marcus Rashford's low shot from outside the box is not causing Lukasz Fabianski any problems.

    Swansea 0-1 Man Utd

Swansea need to find the net, but have only managed one effort on target in 135 minutes of football this season.

That was the overhead kick from Martin Olsson earlier in the match. Can hardly call that "an effort".

United enjoying plenty of possession in this half. Can they kill the game off?

Another freebie from Kyle Bartley, clearing a cross behind for a corner when no United player was within close distance.

He turns round and gives goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski an ear full.

To be fair, the Polish stopper should have given him a shout to collect it.

Again, United make nothing from their gift.

Manchester United passing the ball around nicely, but have not fashioned any chances in the second half.

Swansea can't get close to them, which is the last thing you want when you need a goal.

United get a free corner as Kyle Bartley makes a hash of Nemanja Matic's cross field pass, but the visitors are unable to make anything of the set piece.

They are 1-0 down, but Swansea can look back to the 2014-15 season for inspiration.

16 August 2014, beat Manchester United 2-1 on their own patch in Louis van Gaal's first game.

21 February 2015, beat Manchester United 2-1 in the return fixture.

How do I remember the dates?

Day I got married and my wife's birthday.

Zero for Espanyol, nothing for Villarreal but Manchester United's Eric Bailly has scored his first ever goal in a league match during his career.

    It took him 67 attempts.
