It's a great time to score, but an awful, awful time to concede.

Swansea will be gutted having contended with United for 99% of the half.

On the stroke of half time, United take the lead.

Paul Pogba thinks he has broken the deadlock, smashing a header towards goal which Lukasz Fabianski brilliantly tips onto the bar.

It drops down, but has it crossed the line?

    No.

Eric Bailly reacts quickest and sticks a long leg out to push it into the net to put United ahead.

Harsh on Swansea, who have played quite well in this contest.

    Swansea 0-0 Man Utd

Ooh, nearly an opening for United as Paul Pogba chips a delightful ball to the back post.

Romelu Lukaku is readying himself to thump a header into the net, but Federico Fernandez grows just enough to head the ball away.

    Corner...

    Swansea 0-0 Man Utd

Manchester United had a walk in the park against West Ham last week, they are in much more of a fight against Swansea.

Swans goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski darts off his line to the edge of the box and makes a mess of the catch, dropping it to Juan Mata eight yards out, but the Spaniard clips his effort wide of goal.

Swansea get a free-kick which Roque Mesa curls in beautifully.

Again, Kyle Bartley is the man on the end of it, but elects to head across, instead of at, goal and the chance ebbs away.

Marcus Rashford has been getting some rough treatment from Swansea's players, and he's not too popular with the Swans' fans either.

The forward was accused of diving to win a penalty during United's draw against Swansea at Old Trafford last season, and it doesn't sound like the home fans at the Liberty Stadium to have forgiven him.

    Swansea 0-0 Man Utd

This is poor from Marcus Rashford, he really needs to work on his finishing.

The Manchester United man is on to Alfie Mawson's wayward header in a flash and in one-on-one with Lukasz Fabianski, but tamely hits his strike straight at the goalkeeper.

He missed a sitter in the Super Cup against Real Madrid and this is another chance he should have put away.

James Simpson: Reckon we'll bring Pogba off soon in case he gets another yellow card

Seth Gogo Egoeh: Mourinho better sub Pogba before he gets a red card.He is currently losing his head. Herrera?

Richard: If he let Fer off with identical tackle to what Pogba was booked for, seems fair to show leniancy.

An extremely entertaining contest, despite the lack of goals.

    Brilliant play from Swansea.

Tammy Abraham and Jordan Ayew working very well together, as the on loan Chelsea man sets his partner free down the right.

Ayew outpaces Phil Jones and crosses a low ball into the box, which a United player is able to clear.

    Corner for Swansea...

  16. United frustrated?published at 13:02 British Summer Time 19 August 2017

    Dafydd Pritchard

Are Manchester United getting a little frustrated? Paul Pogba's yellow card for a foul on Tom Carroll might suggest so.

The French midfielder has been moaning at referee Jon Moss, who has had to have another quiet word with him after bringing down Martin Olsson.

Pogba will have to be careful from here on in.

Biafran God: Pogba tackle more malicious and deadly yet all he gets is a yellow card while Cahill for less got a red.

Johnny Magrinho: Rashford needs to stop being so petulant. Any decision that goes against him he's throwing his arms around like a child. Poor.

Jerry Elumeze: Pogba's tackle deserved a yellow card but so did Fer's. Why give one and not the other?

Final, final warning for Paul Pogba.

Having been booked just a few minutes before, the Frenchman flies in on Martin Olsson, tripping the Swansea man.

It is a foul and if he had not already been on a yellow, he would surely have got one.

Ref Jon Moss calls him over and does not brandish a red card, much to the anger of the home supporters.
