    Leicester 2-0 Brighton

And that will be that. Leicester City have their first win of the season, Brighton perhaps pick up another key lesson at this early stage of their first Premier League campaign. They were decent enough without offering a great deal and in gifting Leicester a goal in the first minute, they had a race to run which always looked beyond them.

Shinji Okazaki continued his fine start to the season with a goal and Harry Maguire opened his Leicester account. On the flip side, Jamie Vardy could now be an injury concern for Craig Shakespeare after hobbling off.

Brighton will come again, Leicester can enjoy their Sunday.

And Jamie Vardy is going to have to hobble off. Not for the first time in the last 10 minutes he has needed treatment but he seems to have picked up a knock in that 50-50 challenge with Mar Ryan. That's a blow maybe for the home side.

He'd chase a stick if you threw him one Jamie Vardy.

Interestingly, for all their lack of creativity Brighton have seen more of the ball. They have been more accurate than their hosts, completing 83% of their passes compared to 78% by the home side.

But all that matters is the scoreline and that hash in the opening minute by goalkeeper Mat Ryan has proven to be a killer.

Jamie Vardy is down and needs some treatment. He looks a little dazed. The England striker shaped to shoot 18 yards out but ended up running into a heavy challenge and he's down on the deck. There was nothing bad in the challenge and I think Vardy will be fine, if a little sore tomorrow.

Anthony Knockaert arrows a diagonal ball into the box from a free-kick towards Lewis Dunk but that delivery has too much pace on it, goal kick.

It's hard to assess this game. Leicester have been solid enough but they've not really looked like they have had to get out of third gear. The away side have had just one shot on target.

Wes Morgan is hobbling after a collision with Shane Duffy but like any true captain he looks intent on shaking it off. Islam Slimani - on for Shinji Okazaki - is lurking as Brighton make a pig's ear of clearing their lines. This is timid, timid stuff. Leicester's players could probably all walk off the pitch now and still end up with the result.

Harry Maguire looks a good bit of business for Leicester. He has his goal and has more touches and more passes than anyone else on the pitch. Craig Shakespeare's side have taken their foot off the gas a bit and are sitting in. Bruno swings a cross in which Danny Simpson heads clear.

In the first-half Brighton were a bit awestruck; Leicester started the game really well and Chris Hughton's side couldn't get out of the traps.

But they've grown into this game and they are putting dangerous balls into the box, so Anthony Knockaert - fantastic talent that he is - could play a part if fatigue starts to set into Leicester.

Anthony Knockaert had a cracking reception given he performed well here as a Leicester player. "He's too good for you," sing the Leicester fans.

If he gets his side back into this I'll put him forward for the Balon d'Or. Brighton look as blunt as a balloon.

Anthony Knockaert is on for Pascal Gross just seconds after Brighton's best moment. A near-post cross picked out Glenn Murray but under pressure he could not connect.

Davy Propper takes an age on the ball in Leicester's midfield and is robbed by Jamie Vardy. An attack launches through the striker but he cannot ever fashion shooting space.

As Brighton win a corner down the right, Glenn Murray falls in the area in an off the ball incident. There is no one around him but it just seems he tripped painfully when making a run. In comes the Pascal Gross corner... the ball is headed into the air and it ends up in the arms of Kasper Schmeichel.

A stunning inswinging ball into the box from Riyad Mahrez and Shane Duffy has to be on top form to clear with a diving header in his six-yard box. If Mahrez does want a move away from the King Power, he's looking the part for any suitors today.

The corner kick won courtsey of that clever free-kick pays dividends as Harry Magurie rises highest at the back post to meet a Riyad Mahrez delivery. Simple stuff and that is surely curtains.

It appears Maguire headed the ball onto his forearm before it went into the net but to disallow it would have been harsh. Job done?

Leicester perform a free-kick off the training ground. A dummy runner touches the ball so that Riyad Mahrez can advance. He shapes to cross but plays the ball back for Marc Albrighton to put in... cleared for a corner.
