I thought it was a good tackle, I think Mustafi played the ball, I didn't see anything really wrong with it.

It looks bad actually. Shkodran Mustafi went in with a high boot, over the ball, and caught Erik Pieters - just outside the box.

Pieters looks OK to carry on. Doubtless that stung a little. I'm probably safe in assuming Mark Hughes and Arsene Wenger will be discussing all this at length later.

Stoke can break here. Erik Pieters goes down and the home fans cry foul. Andre Marriner peels away with his hands by his side as Arsenal quickly zoom into space up the pitch.

Pieters is still down. Boos ring out as the Gunners don't kick the ball out. Now it's a goal kick for Stoke and Pieters can get some treatment.

Theo Walcott's then thrown off by Erik Pieters' burly shoulders, and the Arsenal man can only reply with a foul.

You feel it's all building to something, and then there's a moment's hesitation and the momentum switches the other way.

Arsenal, flowing into another patient move, turn possession over with a silly foul by Olivier Giroud.

Shkodran Mustafi can only boom Mesut Ozil's corner over the bar on his head, he was under pressure.

And here comes the cavalry. Two changes for Arsenal; Alexandre Lacazette is off for Theo Walcott.

Granit Xhaka is off for Alex Iwobi.

Mesut Ozil coughs up a poor shot that dribbles off into the distance, helped on its way by the jeering home support.

But will the Stoke fans be bouncing down the stairs after 90 minutes?

Arsenal are huffing and puffing. The tails are up. They sense a goal. They sense the influence of Olivier Giroud.

Where is the touch?! Alexandre Lacazette fluffs his lines after Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's crisp cut-back finds him in space to shoot from just outside the six-yard box.

Mesut Ozil pings a shot against Darren Fletcher from the rebound, then gathers again and shapes a second effort just wide of the post.

So many chances!

Brilliant first touch from Olivier Giroud as he helps play Danny Welbeck into a congested penalty box, he's under pressure from two Stoke defenders, tries to lift over the onrushing Jack Butland, but can't quite get enough on it. Scrambled away.

Nope. Arsene Wenger is going for it. Olivier Giroud is on, Sead Kolasinac the man to come off.

Two at the back? Nope, back to a back four.

There are signs Olivier Giroud is being readied on the sidelines. I can't recall the last time I saw Alexandre Lacazette have a say in this but do you swap like for like now?
