  1. CLOSE!published at 15 mins

    Tottenham 0-0 Chelsea

Andreas Christensen's started with a solid clearing header from Eric Dier's cross but he gifts Tottenham a chance on goal as he misses his attempted clearance completely. The ball runs through to the unmarked Dele Alli but he lashes over at the near post. Tricky angle.

  2. How expensive will Morata's miss be?published at 16:16 British Summer Time 20 August 2017

It was harder to miss the target than hit it - but Alvaro Morata accomplished that feat as he headed wide.

Spurs will not give Chelsea many chances as clear as that one. Tough moment for Morata and for Antonio Conte, who spun away in disgust as he prepared to celebrate a goal.

Decent start from Chelsea though and plenty of noisy support from their fans for Conte.

I'm seeing suggestions on Twitter that Alvaro Morata is already the new Fernando Torres. Behave. Not even two full Premier League games into the season and he has a goal. A decent record in a new league. He should have buried that chance, though.

  4. CLOSE!published at 11 mins

    Tottenham 0-0 Chelsea

Rule number one of defending against Harry Kane - close him down quickly!

The striker gets the ball with his back to goal, turns and seems somewhat surprised not to see any blue shirts in his way. It's too big an opportunity to pass up and he shoots low and hard, the ball squirms through Thibaut Courtois legs but spins away from goal.

    A let off for Chelsea.

    Tottenham 0-0 Chelsea

I've been trying to avoid saying this, but it really is a cup-final atmosphere at Wembley. Every game feels special there.

We're yet to really see much from Tottenham, although they are enjoying a spell of possession at the moment.

All the question marks have been hanging over Chelsea this week but they have started superbly.

However, Morata's header was six yards out and frankly he simply has to hit the target. A striker of his quality should have gobbled that up.

  7. CLOSE!published at 6 mins

    Tottenham 0-0 Chelsea

What a chance for Alvaro Morata!

The ball is put on a plate for the striker by Cesar Azpilicueta. Free header, certain goal but Morata somehow heads wide.

    Tottenham 0-0 Chelsea

This is a big moment for Andreas Christensen. The defender has been at Chelsea for five years but never established himself but the absence of Gary Cahill gives him the opportunity to impress Antonio Conte now. He's put under a little bit of early pressure by a pass to him from Antonio Rudiger but keeps calm and clears.

Every "home" seat here at Wembley has had a Spurs flag placed on it as lots of effort has gone into making their new environment feel as welcoming as possible.

Deafening roars as the teams came out. Some areas of seating not sold but a superb atmosphere inside Wembley.

    Tottenham 0-0 Chelsea

Tiemoue Bakayoko gets an early touch of the ball on his debut as Chelsea attack straight from the off but the move ends when Marcos Alonso's inswinging cross ends up too close to Hugo Lloris in the Tottenham goal.

One more loud roar of "come on you Spurs" and Chelsea get things under way.

    What an atmosphere.

  12. 'We have to keep going'published at 16:00 British Summer Time 20 August 2017

    Huddersfield 1-0 Newcastle

    Newcastle United

Newcastle boss Rafael Benitez: "A little bit of frustration, we lost and we cannot be happy. Hopefully, we can improve in the next game.

"You cannot make too many mistakes in the Premier League. We made one mistake, gave Aaron Mooy too much time on the ball and we conceded.

"You have to take your chances. We tried to create more chances after the Matt Ritchie effort. The reaction from the team was good to going behind.

"We are at the beginning and we have to keep going. The only way to improve is to train harder."

  13. 'We are Huddersfield Town'published at 15:59 British Summer Time 20 August 2017

    Huddersfield 1-0 Newcastle

    Huddersfield Town

Huddersfield manager David Wagner: "I am very happy and proud the players followed our idea to keep Newcastle as far away from our goal as possible. We gave no big chances and our defence was very sharp. It was a deserved win. We had one magic moment from Aaron Mooy, enough to win the game, I am delighted with the performance and result.

"It was top-class quality for the goal, Premier League quality and that is why Mooy is playing in this league. The atmosphere was incredible today, the support was Premier League quality. First Premier League game at home, a win and clean sheet.

"This was a more deserved result than last week against Crystal Palace. We were a little lucky and gave a few chances last week. Today we were solid.

"We are Huddersfield Town, nobody should forget this. We got promoted at Wembley but we have started the season with two wins and six points. This is unbelievable. Everybody has invested so much and I am happy for them."

If Tottenham want to carry on their recent momentum and keep the likes of Dele Alli and Harry Kane at this club then they simply must win a major trophy this season.

  16. An intimidating atmospherepublished at 15:58 British Summer Time 20 August 2017

    Tottenham v Chelsea (16:00 BST)

As kick-off approaches and the players wait in the tunnel, Tottenham fans are waving thousands of flags, the Spurs badge looms large on one side of the Wembley with "Come on You Spurs" written in large letters across the other side.

Tottenham have done their all to make this feel like a home game. It's certainly making for an intimidating atmosphere.

Tottenham have made every effort to make Wembley feel and look like home - and a sharp blast of "Glory Glory Tottenham Hotspur" over the stadium sound system was given a very raucous reception.

Still feels a little strange to be at Wembley for a Premier League game.

Tottenham may not have a great record at Wembley but they are strong in London derby games under Mauricio Pochettino. They have won nine at home, drawn four and lost none.

There's no better time for Spurs to play Chelsea, with everything coming out of the Blues' camp.

But I do understand Tottenham's concerns regarding the atmosphere at Wembley. I remember one occasion at Arsenal Ladies we opted to play a major fixture at our Boreham Wood rather than Wembley - we knew we could pack out our home ground and create an amazing atmosphere. It does make a difference.

  20. World famous home of the Spurs?published at 15:48 British Summer Time 20 August 2017

They were the words used about White Hart Lane over the PA before every match - now Spurs are at another world famous home, albeit a temporary one, at Wembley.

They have had a wretched record here in recent years so manager Mauricio Pochettino and his players will not simply want to inflict defeat on Premier League champions Chelsea today, they will want to clear any psychological hurdles as quickly as possible.
