"We've taken the competition seriously," he said. "It gives us a chance to get to Wembley. I've ben fortunate to take Stoke there and it would be lovely to do that with West Brom."

Leeds boss Thomas Christiansen: "Newport County put in a good performance and made it difficult for us in the first half.

"I had some strong words at half time, I wasn't happy with our performance. In the second half, our quality came through and I was very satisfied."

Leandro Bacuna is replaced by 16-year-old striker Danny Loader for Reading while Jed Wallace is on for Shane Ferguson for Millwall.
