Gary Wood: Good Friday 01:30. Towed caravan from Huddersfield to Dawlish. Once set up, took the train to Yeovil to watch Chesterfield. 13 and a half hours before ko!

Fred Hughes: 4.30am to catch 5.45 train to Southampton in 1981 to watch Everton. Game finished 0-0.

Chris Adams: Remember getting up early before work to watch England's 0-0 draw with Nigeria at the 2002 World Cup. Wasn't worth it!

As well as Leicester started, Sheffield United are now starting to carve opportunities and the Foxes are looking ragged. Craig Shakespeare will probably be a bit concerned at the moment.

Hals Mals: I got up at 5am for the Manchester United-Millwall FA Cup final...such a long day.

Denis Fiton: Night out in Manchester then headed directly to Old Trafford at 3am to queue for tickets to the 1999 CL Final. It was worth it!

Andrew Wheeler: The earliest I have got up is 3am to go to Carlisle for Carlisle United against MK Dons. We lost 4-3.

    Birmingham 1-0 Bournemouth

It was great work by Tyrone Mings as he backheeled Isaac Vassell's shot off the line but it was a painful clearance as he couldn't stop himself from clattering into the back of the net.

They couldn't, could they? Newport County take the lead at Elland Road through Joss Labadie's long-range drive.

Luckily for Leeds United, there's still the best part of an hour to play.

Earliest you have got up for football reasons

Paul Lewis: I got up at 4am to watch a dodgy stream of the 2010 World Cup while in Australia. There were a few tasty tackles in that one.

  20. Postpublished at 20:13 British Summer Time 22 August 2017

    Sheffield United 0-0 Leicester City

    Leon Osman
    Ex-Everton midfielder on Football Focus

Much better play from Sheffield United in the last 10 minutes. They were really passive at the start and allowed Leicester to play their game. Now, they've become a lot more aggressive, winning the ball when Leicester play it forward and looking to move quickly on the counter attack.
