Too many changes?
Leon Osman
Ex-Everton midfielder on BBC Radio 5 live
I don't think the changes devalue the competition. It's an obvious opportunity for managers to give their squad a game. These players are determined and desperate to show what they can do and possibly take it more seriously than those in the first team would do. The changes are good in my view.
James McArthur (84 mins)
A second for James McArthur as he curls into the top corner to pretty much seal his side's place in the third round.
Ben Fox (70 mins)
Well now. The Championship leaders are against the ropes as things stand.
Joe Sbarra crosses for Ben Fox to head home and put Burton 2-0 up against Cardiff City.
It won't surprise you to find out that Barcelona target Philippe Coutinho will miss Liverpool's second leg of their Champions League play-off with Hoffenheim tomorrow night.
The Brazilian has not featured this season because of a back injury, but boss Jurgen Klopp says he's also ill this week.
The Reds hold a 2-1 lead from the fist leg going into the game at Anfield.
Too many changes?
Darrell Kerrison: Disrespectful to make team changes? How about holding the draw at 4am in China? That's disrespectful to the competition.
Charlie: You get more prize money for winning the FA Cup third round than losing the EFL Cup final... maybe that's part of the problem?
Mike Walker: The problem with the League Cup is not the players changing but the continual name change!
Kemar Roofe (65 mins)
Three goals in 53 games before tonight and now three in one game! That's right, Kemar Roofe has completed his hat-trick against Newport County with a ridiculous bicycle kick.
Leeds United are now firmly in control.
Islam Slimani (67 mins)
Game, set and match for Leicester, who have been very clinical tonight.
Islam Slimani side-foots home from close range from Demarai Gray's ball.
Bobby Reid (67 mins)
This could be the big upset of the night as Championship side Bristol City come from behind to take the lead against their Premier League opponents, Bobby Reid finishing after a counter attack.
Sheffield United 0-2 Leicester
Leon Osman
Ex-Everton midfielder on BBC Radio 5 live
It was like a training ground goal for Leicester. Sheffield United fell asleep right at the heart of their defence and Slimani took full advantage. Chris Wilder will be really disappointed at how his side have conceded there.
Islam Slimani (63 mins)
Islam Slimani rounds the goalkeeper after a superb ball by Andy King and surely Leicester can start thinking about round three.
Leroy Fer (60 mins)
The Premier League side take the lead as Leroy Fer gets his second of the game. It's a disappointing one to concede from MK Dons' point of view, poor defending.
Danny Grainger (60 mins)
Game on! Carlisle have levelled in the aftermath of a penalty through Danny Grainger.
Grainger initially saw his penalty saved by Robbin Ruiter but he bundled home on the rebound.
Jay Rodriguez (64 mins)
Game over at Accrington as Jay Rodriguez gets the third for West Brom.
James McArthur (76 mins)
Relief at Selhurst Park as Crystal Palace get their first goal under Frank de Boer, James McArthur with a neat finish into the far corner.
Freddie Hinds (59 mins)
Belting finish! Freddie Hinds draws Championship side Bristol City level with a strike from all of 30 yards.
Too many changes?
We mentioned earlier that sides had made massive changes for tonight's games. We've added them up and there's been a total of 274 changes made across the 19 ties.
Is it disrespectful to the competition to make so many changes? Or are teams thinking of the bigger picture?

James Tilley (53 mins)
What a moment for James Tilley! The 19-year-old climbs off the bench to grab his first senior goal and give Brighton the lead.
Josh Murphy (52 mins)
Josh Murphy has bagged his second of the night for Norwich City and put them into the lead against Charlton, this time with a lovely solo effort down the left wing before firing home.
Ashley Fletcher (55 mins)
Another goal for Middlesbrough against Scunthorpe! Marcus Tavernier crosses for Ashley Fletcher to make it 3-0 to the hosts.
