Well that's it from us. I can't sit around here chit chatting all night when there's an EFL Cup draw to be had at 04:15 BST.

I trust I'll see you all at the same time?

    Cheerio for now.

    Stoke 4-0 Rochdale

    Juliette Ferrington
    BBC Radio 5 live

Mark Hughes' post-match cuppa was a bit too hot for him to hold during our chat. He told me Stoke didn't have any real moments of anxiety or panic during the tie. It was all very comfortable.

"All in all it was a very satisfying evening. The important thing is you don't take liberties with the opposition and we never did that at any point in the proceedings. We're in a good place at the moment and everybody is enjoying what's happening here at the moment."

    Ian Wright
Former Arsenal & England striker on 5 live

"This was an opportunity for the so-called second string players to stake a claim. Rafael Benitez was looking for someone to inspire and it didn't happen.

"If it carries on like this Newcastle have a very good chance of going back down."

Time running out for Newcastle - just six minutes for them to avoid a third straight defeat of the season. Finish like this won't help their cause as Jacob Murphy whacks a shot from a corner so high it almost lands on the roof.

    Huddersfield 2-1 Rotherham

Huddersfield boss David Wagner: "We started slowly and conceded, but for 75 minutes we did well. We created good moments and scored good goals.

"In the EFL Cup a win is a win. We came from behind and showed a good fighting attitude. Rotation worked out tonight."

Oh no! Or oh Mo even!

Mo Diame is blocked by his own team-mate Matt Ritchie just as he looked certain to score.

    Newcastle 2-3 Nottm Forest

Achraf Lazaar has a pop from distance for Newcastle but the strike is very much a defender's one and is no danger to the Nottingham Forest keeper.

Newcastle are still looking for their first win in the Premier League this season and this extra time will not be welcome with West Ham visiting on Saturday.

    Southampton 0-2 Wolves

    John Southall
BBC Radio 5 live at St Mary's

We await the two managers at St Mary's, a fully deserved victory for Wolves who made 11 changes and in the second half looked like the only side who'd win it.

A worrying defeat for Southampton, let's not forget this was a strong team but last year's finalists created next to nothing in the second half and can have no complaints about the scoreline.

    Cheltenham 0-2 West Ham

    Tom Garry
BBC Sport at the LCI Rail Stadium

Cheltenham's exit confirms that there will be no League Two sides in Thursday's third-round draw. It hasn't been an EFL Cup to remember for many lower-league sides, although the Robins acquitted themselves respectfully well tonight.
