The key areas will be out wide. England’s full-backs must get the speedy Shanice Van de Sanden and Lieke Martens on the back foot by driving high up the flanks. The Lionesses have started games strongly. It’ll be crucial to do so again.

Vivianne Miedema with 17 goals in their past 19 internationals is a hand-full. I expect the hosts to score. But Jodie Taylor was the difference between the two sides in November and can be so again.

Watch for a long range goal from Jordan Nobbs against Arsenal club-mate Sari Van Veenendaal, who’s looked nervy.

While Danielle Van de Donk marshals the midfield, look out for little Jackie Groenen. Despite her stature, she’s made a big impact on this tournament. But the defence is probably their weak spot - and they have faded in some games, so fitness may be a question. Then again, Martens told me that the final 20 minutes are when the crowd will count the most!

Dutch goalkeeper Sari van Veenendaal and England striker Jodie Taylor are club-mates at Arsenal, and form one of several intriguing battles on the pitch this evening.

But they had an unexpected encounter in Utrecht recently. Tournament top scorer Taylor says: "I was sitting in a coffee shop that she recommended to me and she bikes past. I was like ‘Sari!’.

"We were joking about helping each other for the past few months through the season. She would do extra shooting sessions with us, even down to the penalties, and so it is quite funny that we are at this place now."

Speaking of England's top scorer Jodie Taylor, the Netherlands' winger Lieke Martens told the BBC World Service:

"We know she is a good player and we’re going to take care of her.

"We have to look to ourselves but also take care of some players who are really good."

England's star of the tournament, from a goal-scoring point of view, has undoubtedly been Arsenal striker Jodie Taylor, who has netted five times in her three appearances so far at these Euros.

Hit the play button above to hear her talking to BBC News' Katie Gornall about the prospect of winning the Golden Boot.

No other player in the competition has scored more than twice so far.

The Netherlands players are all confident, but it doesn’t seem to border on arrogance. They know their strengths, and while acknowledging their flaws they believe their team spirit outweighs any weaknesses.

The triple threat in attack is what’s stolen the headlines. Lieke Martens told me they have it all. Shanice Van de Sanden with the pace, Vivianne Miedema with the nose for goal and Martens herself with the dribbling and ball skills.

The England fans that are here include the players' families, many of whom have been home after that historic quarter-final win but have stayed in touch via a whatsapp group of epic proportions.

Leigh Moore, the husband of England goalkeeper Siobhan Chamberlain, says there are 250 people in that group, which was formed at the 2015 World Cup and has fired back up for the Euros.

Today, we also spotted Millie Bright's entourage and the Bronzes, who will be cheering Lucy on in what is expected to be a record crowd for women's football in the Netherlands.

For a nation that is so behind men’s football, it’s been great to see the Netherlands embrace the women’s game. Their sold out matches have given us some of the best atmospheres in recent major women’s tournaments. A sea of orange and wall of noise that deafens when one of their star forwards goes on a run or is in on goal.

It’s helped massively that this team has exceeded expectation. Head coach Sarina Weigman told me she knew her team were getting better before this tournament, but as a host with a lack of competitive games, she couldn’t quite tell how her players would deal with the pressure. They’ve dealt with it better than most.

In the other semi-final, which began at 17:00 BST, neither side was able to make the breakthrough in the first 90 minutes, so they're heading into extra time, and possibly penalties.

To say it has been lively in Enschede today, is something of an understatement. The Oranje supporters have flooded every street in the town and were egged on by two blokes on stage in the Fanzone, who I can only assume won the Dutch X-factor or its equivalent.

Congas, dancing and singing ensued and then they all walked to the stadium en masse with the official fans bus. The England fans are certainly going to be outnumbered.

Enschede has been razed to the ground many times. England must ensure their Euro dreams don’t disappear in a bonfire of vanities now.

They have reached this far. Now they must go on to win the tournament.

France, Germany, Norway and Spain have all gone. England are red hot favourites. But there’ll be no complacency. The squad’s stated focus was to win six games, not four.

Like England, the Netherlands also have a 100% record so far and have only conceded a single goal.

They won Group A thanks to narrow victories over 2013 finalists Norway, in-form Denmark and neighbours Belgium, before a deserved 2-0 victory over Sweden in the last eight.

They'll be used to tonight's sellout crowd, as all their matches at this tournament so far have seen capacity attendances.

England have won all their matches so far in the Netherlands, scoring 11 goals and conceding only once in the process.

Wins over Scotland, Spain and Portugal saw Mark Sampson's side top Group D, before a 1-0 quarter-final win over joint-pre-tournament favourites, France.

That gave the Lionesses their first win over the French since 1974.

The hosts name the same side that beat Sweden in the last eight.

Arsenal trio Sari van Veenendaal, Danielle van de Donk and Vivianne Miedema all start.

Liverpool's in-form star Shanice van de Sanden is on the right wing.

Netherlands XI: Van Veenendaal; Van Lunteren, Dekker, Van der Gragt, Van Es; Groenen, Van de Donk, pitse; Van de Sanden, Miedema, Martens.
