    BBC Sport at Old Trafford

Manchester United have made a decent start to their Champions League campaign.

This is their biggest win in the competition since the team managed by David Moyes came back from two goals down to knock Olympiakos out in the 2013-14 last-16 tie.

In terms of Matchday One, it is their best result since beating Panathinaikos 5-0 in 2003.

    Celtic 0-5 PSG

Celtic have a dig on target - Tom Rogic flies a shot in from 20-odd yards and Alphonse Areola just about deals with it.

  5. 'Basel just not good enough'published at 21:31 British Summer Time 12 September 2017

    Manchester United 3-0 Basel

You have to give Basel credit. They work so hard but they're just not good enough. Manchester United are a far superior side.

    Edinson Cavani (85 mins)

It's five! Celtic are falling apart now, as Edinson Cavani scores a header from an improbable angle, meeting it on the bounce and scooping it over the keeper and in.

  7. Why did the crowd cheer Fellaini's back-heel?published at 21:30 British Summer Time 12 September 2017

    Manchester United 3-0 Basel

    Chris Waddle
Ex-Spurs and England winger on 5 live Sport

Fellaini has played well. He's scored, been giving the back heels, spotting the danger and clearing. He's a good player. I don't know why when he back heeled it the crowd went "wehey" - he's a good player, why couldn't he back-heel a ball?

  8. goal

GOAL - Celtic 0-4 PSGpublished at 21:30 British Summer Time 12 September 2017

    Mikael Lustig (OG)

That's really unlucky. More trickery from the Paris Globetrotters and a low cross goes right across goal and in off the shins of Mikael Lustig.

  9. 'Rashford did not mean that'published at 21:29 British Summer Time 12 September 2017

    Manchester United 3-0 Basel

    Chris Waddle
Ex-Spurs and England winger on 5 live Sport

Comfortable night for Manchester United. Rashford sort of kicked the ball into the ground and it bounced over the keeper. I don't know how he did it. Before anyone says anything, he did not mean that.

GOAL - Manchester United 3-0 Baselpublished at 21:27 British Summer Time 12 September 2017

    Marcus Rashford (84 mins)

Marouane Fellaini is involved again! Breaking into the area and putting in a low cross which reaches sub Marcus Rashford about 15 yards out, he mishits the ball into the turf and it bounces high into the net.

He couldn't do that again if he tried 50 times!

    STOP IT, YOU'VE ALREADY WON.

Michy Batshuayi has his second of the night as Davide Zappacosta wins the ball on the right, runs into the area and lays it on a plate for the Belgian who scores from two yards out.

    Michy Batshuayi (76 mins)

A real confident finish from Michy Batshuayi, the striker picking up a pass from Tiemoue Bakayoko and firing in a low shot which flies into the bottom corner. He took that very nicely indeed.

  19. What a miss - and anotherpublished at 21:17 British Summer Time 12 September 2017

    Celtic 0-3 PSG

And again......Neymar picked out in space, this time his effort is on target but the ball strikes Mikael Lustig. Penalty appeals fall on deaf ears - correctly so.

And again - for a third time! Neymark picked out - this time by Mbappe - but the Brazilian wastefully shoots wide.

  20. Postpublished at 21:15 British Summer Time 12 September 2017

Terrible miss from....Neymar, who smashes the ball over from 16 yards after he is superbly picked out in space by Julian Draxler.
