  1. goal

GOAL - Real Madrid 2-0 APOELpublished at 20:54 British Summer Time 13 September 2017

    Cristiano Ronaldo (51 mins, penalty)

This one's definitely in. No goal-line tech required.

APOEL's Roberto Lago gets his arm stuck in a chicken-wing pose and handles in the area.

Cristiano Ronaldo slaps the spot-kick into the bottom-left corner - two for Big Ron tonight.

  3. CLOSE!published at 20:53 British Summer Time 13 September 2017

    Tottenham 2-1 Borussia Dortmund

Anything you can do, I can do worse!

Well, Spurs really should be at least 3-1 up. That's two massive chances in a minute as again Christian Eriksen finds Harry Kane in acres of space, Dortmund are playing a criminally high line. This time Kane does feed Son, who cuts inside the desperate last-man challenge but scoops his own shot over the bar!

Got to score one of those...

    Real Madrid 1-0 APOEL

Cristiano Ronaldo should be tucking away this delicious cross from Dani Carvajal.

The Portuguese rattles it against the underside of the crossbar from six yards out.

He's adamant - ADAMANT - that it crossed the line. The sophisticated technology disagrees, but Ronnie's not got much time for new-fangled science. He's telling the referee's assistant it was definitely a goal. (It wasn't).

  5. CLOSE!published at 20:52 British Summer Time 13 September 2017

    Tottenham 2-1 Borussia Dortmund

Chance! Spurs have not had a sniff of goal since they scored their second but that's a massive chance! Dortmund's backline is disorganised and ragged and Christian Eriksen is able to pick out Harry Kane in space, edge of the area. He's on the right of the box, has Son to his left, but blazes over!

  6. Postpublished at 20:50 British Summer Time 13 September 2017

    Liverpool 2-1 Sevilla

Liverpool missed a penalty right at the end of that first half but they start in top gear again, Sadio Mane cutting in from the left and hitting a powerful drive but it's well charged down. The Red men are attacking the Kop end in this second half.

  7. ouch!

Postpublished at 20:48 British Summer Time 13 September 2017

    Tottenham 2-1 Borussia Dortmund

Cheers! Just what you need from a team-mate as Nuri Sahin volleys a clearance right into the face of Omer Toprak from about two yards away. Oooof!

  9. Predicted full-time scores?published at 20:45 British Summer Time 13 September 2017

What do we reckon? Manchester City will score at least five, Liverpool could score another few but look like conceding, while Spurs surely won't shut out Dortmund for another 45 minutes...

Sat in a restaurant on my own because of work. It should be a bit sad but even though the football is only via the BBC sports feed it's made it probably the best football night ever.

Mike from Warrington, currently in London

We're all family here Mike. You're never on your own with BBC Sport. But steady on.

Andriy Yarmolenko's goal for Borussia Dortmund wasn't perfect - but you could see perfect from there.

Ash Williams: Moreno going forward is pretty good. Gotta help him with his defending but worth it

Tim: Should be 5 up at half time. Coutinho to come on though and Sturridge too. Wouldn't like to be Sevilla in that second half

Jack Ellacott: Wow! Dortmund are so, so good. Streets ahead of domestic opposition.

After the victory against Celtic in Paris St-Germain’s first Champions League match of the season, Neymar donated his shirt to the Marina Dalglish Appeal.

Marina, the wife of Celtic, Liverpool and Scotland legend Kenny Dalglish, created the foundation in 2005 after she overcame breast cancer to help women facing the same illness.

The organization provides support, information and psychological help to women with breast cancer and their families at the Lily Centre, in the city of Liverpool.

As a thank you, Kenny Dalglish will present Neymar with one of his own signed shirts at the PSG v Celtic game in November.

  15. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:33 British Summer Time 13 September 2017

    Liverpool 2-1 Sevilla

Brilliant again from Alberto Moreno, into the area and fires in a low shot which is very well saved by Sergio Rico! And there's half time.

  16. 'Kane is world class'published at 20:33 British Summer Time 13 September 2017

    Tottenham 2-1 Borussia Dortmund

    Phil Neville
Former Everton & Man Utd defender on BBC Radio 5 live

It's the best game I've seen in a long, long tie. Shinji Kagawa has been brilliant, but the midfield two of Tottenham have been so disciplined to shut out the space.

Harry Kane has been fantastic, he's world class. He set up the first goal and scored the second.

  19. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 20:31 British Summer Time 13 September 2017

    Tottenham 2-1 Borussia Dortmund

Dortmund have an extended spell of pressure, a director's cut if you like. Spurs head two or three crosses away and while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is offside, Christian Pulisic is not and he puts the ball in at the near post.

The flag was up though - did Spurs get away with one?

    Liverpool 2-1 Sevilla

He may not be able to defend particularly convincingly at times but my word Alberto Moreno is good at what he does. He drives into space on the left and puts over a wonderful cross which goes between goalkeeper, centre-half and Roberto Firmino...
