    Raheem Sterling (90 mins)

Relief for Pep Guardiola and his staff on the bench as City finally put the rubber stamp on the win. Brilliant play from Bernardo Silva to run clear down the right and cut the ball back for Raheem Sterling, open goal, and he slams in off the underside of the bar.

Germany midfielder Ilkay Gundogan runs out at the Etihad Stadium for the first time since he ruptured his cruciate knee ligaments against Watford in December.

The former Borussia Dortmund man has had a wretched time of it down the years, missing two major international tournaments through injury.

When I spoke to him in the summer, he was so honest about the mental strain the setbacks have had it is impossible not to wish the best for him.

But can he do it on a warm Tuesday night in Madrid?

He's just a four season wonder Harry Kane.

Calm down people; its APOEL NICOSIA! Let's see Kane rip Real's defence apart next two match days before crowning him King.

    Kevin, Edmonton

I know Apoel aren't top opposition but I'm going to throw it out there and say Harry Kane is the best pure no.9 in world football. Fabregas might think it's Costa, Aguero and Suarez are awesome on their day but Kane has the consistency and range of abilities to stand out as the the best.

    How good is Harry Kane?

Steven: Wow, are there anymore superlatives to say about Kane this guy will break some scoring records

Lewis: If Coutinho is worth €120m in today's market then Kane must be worth as much as the whole Arsenal squad put together

Christopher: I still think Spurs are a one man team. What is the ratio of goals for Kane vs the rest of the team?

I think that is a penalty. My initial reaction was it struck John Stones' arm.

    It's a penalty for me.

A very decent penalty claim for the visitors now, as a cross hits the arm of John Stones, who was pointing where he wanted Kyle Walker to go. A very good shout that, you have to say.
