A spot of football does break out though, with Eden Hazard having the composure and presence of mind to cut inside a challenge and get a shot away but it's well beaten out by Ibrahim Sehic.

If you want to pop off and get your tea ready I don't think you'll miss much. I'm often proved wrong and we all know that 'anything can happen in football' but this game is done and dusted. Walking pace.

Avoiding injury the main focus for Chelsea now.

Dave: Totally with Roger (1748) on this. There seems to be a different interpretation on the rules of the game in the penalty area depending on whether it's collapsing at the slightest touch from open play or WWF auditions from a corner

Much of the talk yesterday was about the continuing club vs country row between Manchester United and England. Come 21:45 GMT tonight, much of the talk might be about the pitch.

Basel spent 250,000 Swiss Francs replacing it after it was damaged by heavy rain when Northern Ireland visited earlier this month but it looks like it could cut up easily. Speaking yesterday, Jose Mourinho thanked the hosts for their "effort" of changing the pitch and said it's not comparable to their trip to Rostov last season.

We will get the team news shortly but we do know Zlatan Ibrahimovic is on the bench. Chris Smalling has bad memories of this stadium. In December 2011, Manchester United under Sir Alex Ferguson, lost 2-1 at the Saint Jakob and they ended up finishing third and qualifying for the Europa League.

Cesar Azpilicueta is playing at left wing-back now. The modern day Denis Irwin. 7/10 or better every week.

  7. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 58 mins

    Qarabag 0-2 Chelsea

Both sides would shake hands on a 2-0 win for Chelsea now. Chelsea could get an earlier flight home. Job done.

This is bordering on the intensity of a pre-season friendly. Gary Cahill comes on for Marcos Alonso.

Marcos Alonso is booked for a rash tackle on the touchline.

His legs may be on the way out but give Cesc Fabregas time and space in midfield and he'll still cause you all sorts of trouble. Ask West Brom.

Qarabag stand off Fabregas and he loops a beautiful pass over the top and into the willing run of Pedro. Keeper Ibrahim Sehic does well to come off his line and save, and Willian is bullied off the rebound by some good defending.

Chelsea win a corner, they are playing in maybe first gear now. As you'd expect. See this one out and qualify.

Eden Hazard, who I would be taking off soon if it was down to me, loses the ball on the left but tracks back diligently to win it back. This second half could be on the snoozy side unless the 10 men of Qarabag can threaten a comeback. Which doesn't look likely.

Great that the blues are qualifying tonight but unless we can win the group, as it stands we can only be drawn in the last 16 against Barcelona, PSG or Besiktas

    Joe

A lot can change yet though. No English teams can play each other in the last 16.

  15. Heading to the top?published at 17:55 Greenwich Mean Time 22 November 2017

    PSG v Celtic (19:45 GMT)

    BBC Sport Scotland in Paris

Brendan Rodgers has worked with some of the best strikers in the world and believes the "outstanding" Moussa Dembele is heading in that direction.

Celtic face Paris St-Germain on Wednesday - the French club where the 21-year-old striker started his career.

Rodgers believes that fact might provide him with "great motivation" for the Champions League match.

"I believe he has the talent and the qualities to go right to the very, very top," said the Celtic manager.

  16. What do Celtic need?published at 17:50 Greenwich Mean Time 22 November 2017

    PSG v Celtic (19:45 GMT)

A ticket for the Europa League.

They cannot qualify for the knockout stage but can secure third place and a spot in the Europa if they win in Paris, and Anderlecht do not beat Bayern Munich.

A draw in Paris will also do the job if Anderlecht lose.

  17. What do Man Utd need?published at 17:50 Greenwich Mean Time 22 November 2017

Basel v Manchester United (19:45 GMT)

    Manchester United

Manchester United have won all four games so far but have still not done quite enough to qualify.

A draw in Switzerland is enough for them to win the group though.

Basel can also qualify tonight though with a win - if CSKA Moscow lose at home to Benfica.

That is also an early kick-off - Moscow lead 1-0 at half-time.

    It's a familiar argument Roger...

Roger: If holding Willian's wrist was a penalty and a correct red card decision, we should see that multiple times a weekend every time there is a corner in a premier league game, right?
