  1. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 13 mins

    Qarabag 0-0 Chelsea

Still excellent levels of jeering and whistling to accompany the Chelsea possession. Do you reckon you could identify a football crowd from audio alone? Rough area, anyway.

An Eastern European crowd definitely sound different to one in Spain or South America.

Compelling match this, as you can probably tell. But hang on! Michel hits the post for Qarabag!

Great move too, Maksim Medvedev breaking into the area, and Michel takes it off his toes and hits the near post...

Would have been better if he had attended in full pads Jamie. Helmet on and everything.

Davide Zappacosta is casual in possession on the edge of his own area and Cesar Azpilicueta makes a flying block to charge down a shot.

Jamie: Different sport but my Granddad missed the birth of my uncle to play cricket. First words to my Nan when he finally returned to the hospital were "hi, I fell just short of a hundred" ... Nan was cradling his first born son!

    Qarabag 0-0 Chelsea

Cesc Fabregas plays a lovely ball down the left to free Marcos Alonso but the downfall of this formation becomes apparent - when Alonso crosses in there is nobody anywhere near the goal and the chance has gone.

    Qarabag 0-0 Chelsea

Eden Hazard is, as we expected, playing further forward than anyone else in off-white. He'll flit about though no doubt.

The hosts are pressing and harrying Chelsea at every opportunity, as Cesc Fabregas has the first shot of the night, drilled in from the edge of the area but straight at the keeper.

Loud jeers every time Chelsea get on the ball, but a loud crowd inside the Olympic Stadium. You must be a long way from the pitch though.

Paul: My son Milo Matthew Morris was born at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital on the morning of 23 August 2014. I was then able to walk a few hundreds yards up the road to watch Chelsea beat Leicester 2-0. Goals from Costa and Hazard. Got an announcement at the game saying I'd just had a baby. A top day.

  10. What do Juve and Barca need?published at 16:50 Greenwich Mean Time 22 November 2017

    Juventus v Barcelona (19:45 GMT)

Juventus, losing finalists back in May of course, can qualify tonight. They need to avoid defeat against Barcelona and hope that Sporting Lisbon don't beat Olympiakos.

Barca, top of the group, will qualify with a point, and will also win the group with a draw.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte, speaking to BT Sport: "We played a really good game against Qarabag last time. After that game they improved a lot, drawing twice with Atletico Madrid, and for this reason we must pay great attention."

On David Luiz's return: "Every game I aim to take the best decision for the team. I go game by game, we play a lot of games, every three days, and rotation is normal."

On growing a beard: "My beard does not depend if we win or lose. I have decided to change my look but I can also decide to cut my beard very early."

Brad: Wife went into labour April '15. Called hospital, but they said not yet. Got to watch all of Chelsea v Man U, see Hazard sink them, then head out after final whistle. Daughter was born, and I already had a full mini Hazard kit waiting.

Barcelona want to show they have learned from their last trip to Turin when they face Juventus in the Champions League, says Ivan Rakitic.

Barca lost 3-0 in Italy in the quarter-final first leg last season, the return leg in Spain ending goalless.

Ernesto Valverde's side will finish top of Group D with one game to spare if they win.

"We want to show that we learnt our lesson from the last time that we played here," said midfielder Rakitic.

"We'll see whether we've improved from last season."

Hosts Qarabag have only picked up two points so far and were whacked by Chelsea at the Bridge but they can still technically qualify.

They must win tonight to stay in contention for a top-two finish. They will be confirmed in fourth, though, if they lose and Atletico Madrid beat Roma later on.

Speaking of former African Premier League legends - Former Nigeria international striker Yakubu has retired from football at the age of 35 (THIRTY-FIVE).

In almost a decade in English football, between January 2003 and June 2012, Yakubu scored 114 times in 293 league appearances, mostly in the top flight.

He averaged nearly a goal every other game at Portsmouth, Middlesbrough, Everton, Leicester and Blackburn before joining Chinese club Guangzhou.

He returned to England for short spells at Reading in 2015, then Coventry City.

It's the first question we all asked too...

Unfortunately not - this is South African Dino Ndlovu.

Please tell me the Qarabag striker Ndlovu is a relation to Peter...or even the same one?

In honour of Ryan Colclough then, I want to hear your tales of when football and childen collide. Not literally.

Did you miss a birth because you were at a game? I've heard that PA announcement at least once I'm sure.

Did you go into labour in an away end? I sincerely hope not...

Named your child after a full-back?

Has anyone done the full Colclough and left the pitch to attend?

  20. Two goals and a little babypublished at 16:19 Greenwich Mean Time 22 November 2017

A great story from last night - Wigan winger Ryan Colclough had a night to remember as he scored two goals before being substituted in time to see the birth of his second child.

Colclough had already scored to put Wigan 2-0 up at half-time against Doncaster, when he found out his partner had gone into labour.

He scored again to wrap up the 3-0 win and was brought off three minutes later - making it to hospital still in his full kit - where he was pictured with his new son.
