    Neymar (9 mins)

It was nice while it lasted!

Neymar had barely touched the ball but he has PSG level with a clinical strike. Celtic give the ball away under no pressure in midfield, criminal at this level, and Adrien Rabiot finds Neymar inside the area.

One touch to control, one to flash a left-footed shot across Craig Gordon and in from a tight angle.

    Class.

    Basel 0-0 Manchester United

Manchester United have dominated possession in the early stages but Mohamed Elyounoussi wins the ball inside his own half and sets off down the wing. He keeps going... and going... before some nifty footwork gets him into the area. It's a run and move that deserves to end with a shot on goal but his final touch is too heavy and he knocks the ball out of play.

    PSG 0-1 Celtic

    Pat Bonner
    Former Celtic goalkeeper

"What a magnificent goal, straight off the training pitch, similar to the goal they scored against Kilmarnock.

"I don’t know what Dani Alves was thinking - it was almost as if he wasn’t bothered, he didn’t look up, his stray pass went out for a corner and Celtic got their goal.

"Celtic are going about their business, pressing PSG higher up the pitch than they did at Parkhead, and it’s worked to a point. It gives them something to hang onto now."

    Moussa Dembele (2 mins)

    This is not a drill!

Celtic lead, as they win a corner cheaply, it's cut back to Moussa Dembele and he cracks in a shot from 20 yards. Goalkeeper Alphonse Areola has got to deal with it though. Crisp-packet wrists, and he can only push it into the net!

Gigi Buffon missed out at the weekend as he was still getting over Italy missing out in the World Cup play-offs but he looks absolutely focused during the Champions League anthem.

A huge flag of Mario Mandzukic's face is rolled out behind one of the goals. Like Lionel Messi tonight though the Croatian forward is only on the bench.

Jose Efrain: Messi benched explanation: It's a pre-World Cup season. He won't risk anything to make sure he's at 100% for Russia.

Andy White: Messi not playing. I would have loved to see the reaction of the Barcelona team when this was announced, come to think of it, the Juventus team as well!

Christian: Still no sign of Luke Shaw and Marcos Rojo's return will surely push him further down the pecking order. A massive shame for such a talented young player.

Ricardo LiArno: Now I agree I thought Lingard would be cannon fodder by now but Sterling, Alli. Walcott, Oxlade-Chamberlain and more English midfielders can't say they've scored in two finals! With work he could be reminiscent of Ji-sung Park!

  20. 'Basel can get amazing results'published at 19:32 Greenwich Mean Time 22 November 2017

Basel v Manchester United (19:45 GMT)

    Manchester United

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho speaking to BT Sport: "My confidence is in the players. I trust them. Many of them deserve to play in big matches, not just the easier domestic cup matches. This is the case for Sergio Romero - last season he was amazing for us in the Europa League and this season he never plays. But this is not because it is an easy game, it will be a tough game.

"I had problems here with Chelsea too. Basel have a certain tradition to get amazing results as they did before in this group, beating Benfica 5-0."
