I'll bet money we hear the term 'deal sheet' after the deadline, but what exactly is it?
The Ornacle told us all earlier on that Ross Barkley rejected a move to Chelsea - itis now being reported that Barkley changed his mind DURING the medical.
'Ross, get down and give me 50 push-ups will you?'
'I'm off lads.'

Ian Dennis: Rafa Benitez was optimistic that moving on players would bring him funds but it happened too late and nobody in May knew that market value would become so inflated and distorted over the summer. Without his demands being met, what next for the Spanish boss?
Rory Smith: Newcastle have had the worst transfer window of every Premier League club, particularly considering what they needed. Their side is explicitly built for the Championship and has barely been strengthened. Benitez will be furious.
A PSG forward - there's a few to go around now - joins Celtic as Odsonne Edouard heads to Glasgow.

It is being reported that Danny Drinkwater is waiting for permission to have his medical at Chelsea's training ground. There are 45 minutes left of a three-month summer window. I say it every year but this is madness.

News from Sporting Lisbon is that negotiations with Leicester City over Adrien Silva are proving difficult. The President of Sporting is Bruno de Carvalho who is a notoriously tough customer. The Silva deal may still go through tonight but what the knock-on effect on Danny Drinkwater's future may be is at this point unknown.
Striker Michael Smith has joined Bury on a two-year deal from Portsmouth.

The market has changed this summer. Finally, clubs have stopped players holding a gun to their heads and exerted some power. A contract should be a contract and you should stay to the end of it, even if that sounds a bit old-fashioned now.

Davide Zappacosta was the second most accurate crosser of the ball in Serie A last season. Conte wanted him in the Italian national team, he's got a great mentality and is very tactically versatile. If Chelsea do finalise his move, they'll have an excellent addition to their squad.
Danny Drinkwater may be out of Leicester and Adrien Silva may be coming in - but what other moves are we waiting on?
Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho is in London for a medical at Crystal Palace after the clubs agreed a £26m deal.
Fernando Llorente is expected to join Spurs with Wilfried Bony replacing him at Swansea.
Riyad Mahrez left the Algeria camp first thing this morning but has gone nowhere yet...
And what about Virgil van Dijk, Thomas Lemar and Philippe Coutinho? The trail has gone cold.

Portuguese midfielder Adrien Silva left the national team camp earlier today in the hope of completing a move away from Sporting Lisbon.
Leicester have been the club most heavily linked with him, he does play a similar role to Danny Drinkwater so this is definitely worth keeping an eye on.
And we believe he is at Leicester now...

Watford have done some interesting business to bring in Peruvian Andre Carrillo and Richarlison. They have made a statement to attack down the flanks and brought in quick South Americans to make that happen.
Tottenham's new South Americans Davidson Sanchez and Juan Foyth will add depth to the squad. Sanchez is raw and a work-in-progress but he is quick and will be able to play in a high line. I think Pochettino sees something of himself in young Foyth - he will need plenty of time to get used to the English game though.
Der-de-der-derrrr, Der-duh-er-derr-duuuh!
Into the final hour. It's now or January for Danny Drinkwater, Fernando Llorente, Wilfried Bony and co to make this moves happen...
No more ins or outs at Northampton - who did sack their manager this afternoon...

This time last year Spurs spent £30m on Moussa Sissoko, a player they didn't really need. They seem to have learned their lesson.

Spurs midfield looks strong. Son has done incredibly well as a forward when filling in for Harry Kane and should Llorente be confirmed they've got cover there. They already had the best defence in the Premier League and by adding to their ranks they've made sure their defence will remain strong throughout the season. I think that's perfectly sensible.

If a club has had a poor record medically, the next person who comes in will be under intense scrutiny. There will be great pressure on the medical staff to get it right. Chairmen up and down the country will be keen to ensure medicals are done properly tonight.
