  2. Wolves' threadbare frontlinepublished at 20:46 British Summer Time 31 August 2017

    BBC Radio 5 live

Mark Clemmit: Wolves have only got one striker following this summer window despite having £15m and £10m bids knocked back for two forwards over the past week. If they've got that kind of money, why are they waiting to this point to do their business?

  4. "Skintight" squad for Chelseapublished at 20:42 British Summer Time 31 August 2017

    Pat Nevin
Ex-Chelsea winger on 5 live Sport

It's been a disappointing window for Chelsea. When you look at the subs benches of the best teams, Chelsea's looks young and inexperienced. Antonio Conte is going to have to mix and match though if he doesn't get more players as the squad is looking skintight. Remember last season though - that didn't work out too badly for him.

  5. Defensive recruitment crucial for Stokepublished at 20:39 British Summer Time 31 August 2017

    Stoke City

David Cowlishaw, The Wizards of Drivel Podcast:

"It's been a day of outgoings at Stoke. Giannelli Imbula and Bojan have both gone abroad in loan deals, and Philip Wollscheid has joined Metz.

"While there's sadness for the popular Bojan, none of those three looked like threatening the starting XI anytime soon.

"While it's been a good - and not bank-breaking - window on the whole for us, we're still lacking strength in depth in certain areas - particularly in the centre of midfield and in the wing-back positions. However, it seems as though Mark Hughes may be home with his feet up already."

There is an image doing the rounds on social media of Fernando Llorente posing in a Tottenham shirt in front of a Tottenham crest. We can't say whether it's official but it looks a done deal...

  7. EFL dealspublished at 20:37 British Summer Time 31 August 2017

Nottingham Forest have announced the loan signing of Australian international Adam Federici from Bournemouth until January.

Meanwhile, Portsmouth have signed Damien Mccrory from Burton Albion on loan, Crystal Palace defender Ryan Inniss has gone to Colchester, while Burnley forward Daniel Agyei has joined Walsall on a six-month loan deal.

And the wonderfully named Malakai Mars has joined Barnet from Chelsea for an undisclosed fee. One to stick straight into your tuck shop XI.

  8. Any more to come?published at 20:36 British Summer Time 31 August 2017

With two-and-a-half hours to go it looks like there will be NO moves for:

Alexis Sanchez, Philippe Coutinho, Virgil van Dijk, Riyad Mahrez, Jonny Evans, Eliaquim Mangala, Diego Costa, Aaron Lennon...

  10. Barkley staying put?published at 20:30 British Summer Time 31 August 2017

    Phil McNulty
    BBC Sport chief football writer

It's clear that something has broken down at Everton for Ross Barkley. He wanted to be someone who stayed there for all his career but now there is the danger that he will be in limbo. His injury means he's out for 8-12 weeks anyway and this may be the reason for the lack of interest in him.

  12. West Brom's astute transfer dealingspublished at 20:29 British Summer Time 31 August 2017

    BBC Radio 5 live

Pat Murphy: Signing Oliver Burke, Gareth Barry, Ahmed Hegazi, Kieron Gibbs, Jay Rodriguez and Grzegorz Krychowiak as well as keeping Jonny Evans. I can't think of a club that has had a better transfer window than West Brom.

Rory Smith: Krychowiak is a Rolls Royce of a footballer who was Sevilla's best player when they most recently won the Europa League. For West Brom to get him is a major signing.

Charlie Adam: Will West Brom be able to fit them all in? I'm not sure they will be able to play to Krychowiak's strengths.

Leicester are closing in on Aleksandar Dragovic and Adrien Silva. If Leicester lose Drinkwater and Mahrez, they will accept they have been great signings but wish them well and move on. When Drinkwater was called up for England a few years ago, the sirens probably started inside him about moving to Champions League teams. Silva would be a highly interesting signing.
