    Southampton 0-0 Burnley

Southampton are just starting to find one or two gaps in the Burnley defence as half time approaches. They are now looking the most likely to find a goal before the break. A touch under five minutes to go.

  2. Postpublished at 15:41 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November 2017

    Swansea 0-1 Brighton

Swansea haven't responded to going behind at all. The best they can do is clip a cross into the area but it's over Nathan Dyer's head.

Dyer was a winning answer on Pointless the other week by the way. Nobody asked knew he won the Premier League with Leicester.

  3. Postpublished at 15:38 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November 2017

    Huddersfield 0-0 West Brom

Tom Ince is the best player on the pitch at the moment and all his performance is missing is a goal. He produces a smart turn on the edge of the box before trying to bend an effort into the far corner but Ben Foster has it covered.

West Brom then have their first shot on goal but it's a tame effort from Jay Rodriguez, straight down Jonas Lossl's throat.

    Newcastle 0-0 Bournemouth

Another decent chance for the visitors now as Josh King is too strong for Florian Lejeune and gets a shot away, tight angle, well stopped by Rob Elliot.

As 0-0s go this is a good one. Jamaal Lascelles is now struggling with injury.

We know it's been a slow start so far but stick with us.

Kris Jacobs: This Southampton team might be the most toothless team I've ever had the displeasure to watch.

David Ljunggren: Bournemouth are just awful: no confidence on the ball, no energy. Sad to see.

  6. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:36 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November 2017

    Newcastle 0-0 Bournemouth

It's been all Newcastle but Bournemouth are so nearly ahead! Bournemouth attack smartly down the right, the cross is dinked over and Callum Wilson aims a lofted header in on goal. It's going to drop in too until Rob Elliot moves his feet to push it over from right under the bar!

    Southampton 0-0 Burnley

First shot on target! It's a good one as well as Burnley fail to clear a ball into the box and Sofiane Boufal, unmarked, volleys an effort towards the near post but Nick Pope does well to push the ball over.

The Swansea defence have just fallen asleep there. You cannot do that at this level. Murray was wholly unmarked, so much so that he can bundle it in with his knee completely unchallenged.

  9. CLOSE!published at 15:33 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November 2017

    Swansea 0-1 Brighton

Glenn Murray goes close again with a shot deflected just wide. Write him off at your peril.

And from the corner Lewis Dunk has a header well saved!

    Huddersfield 0-0 West Brom

    Big chance!

Aaron Mooy's corner for Huddersfield is loose in the middle of the box, Tom Ince steams in but skies his shot well over.

Should have got that on target.

    Newcastle 0-0 Bournemouth

    Chris Waddle
Ex-Newcastle winger at St James' Park for 5 live Sport

Bournemouth clearly lack confidence. They're a passing team who want to enjoy playing football, so it's plain to see.

But more worryingly the Cherries are also lacking in energy, and Newcastle are having as much time on the ball as they want. The visitors are there for the taking.

    Southampton 0-0 Burnley

A shot! Not a great one, but I'll take anything I can get my hands on at the moment.

Nathan Redmond breaks into the box quickly and tries his luck from a tricky angle, slices it well over.

GOAL - Swansea 0-1 Brightonpublished at 15:30 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November 2017

    Glenn Murray (29 mins)

He doesn't miss those! Glenn Murray scores his fourth goal in three games and it's one right out of the centre-forward's textbook.

Anthony Knockaert cuts on to his left foot on the right wing, puts in a brilliant cross and Murray has pulled off his defender. He just lets the ball hit him on the thigh and diverts it home from a few yards out.

  14. YELLOW CARDpublished at 15:29 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November 2017

    Swansea 0-0 Brighton

Agricultural at best from Federico Fernandez, as he mows through the back of Glenn Murray in the centre circle. He's booked but that was nasty.

Don't be hasty! Too late. Joselu panics and shoots wide when he had time on the edge of the area.

    Huddersfield 0-0 West Brom

Not quite so impressive from Christopher Schindler this time, however, as he pulls back Hal Robson-Kanu as West Brom threatened to break. Yellow card.

  17. Postpublished at 15:26 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November 2017

    Huddersfield 0-0 West Brom

Crucial covering block by Christopher Schindler as Jay Rodriguez found space in the Huddersfield defence.

Schindler has settled straight into life in the Premier League. Expect Huddersfield to be braced for offers for the defender in January if he keeps up his early season showing.

  18. CLOSE!published at 15:26 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November 2017

    Swansea 0-0 Brighton

Chance for Brighton, more decent play ends with Pascal Gross shooting at the edge of the area and it deflects narrowly wide...

  19. Postpublished at 15:24 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November 2017

    Southampton 0-0 Burnley

I thought Burnley would set up to frustrate Southampton but I do them a disservice. They were cautious for the first five minutes or so but are starting to push further forward and are arguably showing more attacking intent than the hosts now.

No shots on target yet for either side, though.

    Newcastle 0-0 Bournemouth

For the second time already Bournemouth make a hash of a very good counter-attacking opportunity. Jordon Ibe had two men to his left but took too long to play the ball across and DeAndre Yedlin is able to cut it out. This is better from the Cherries though, as they keep the ball for a long time, coming down both flanks - no end product though.
