Bournemouth have had no pace or tempo about their play this season. They have been in this division for two seasons now and the players brought in during the summer haven't brought much to the party.

Perhaps there needs to be a change of personnel, more playing staff than coaching.

Huddersfield full-back Florent Hadergjonaj - that's Hader-jon-aye for the commentators out there - gives away an early corner to West Brom. It's sent towards the back stick where Ahmed Hegazi has a free header, but he puts it into the ground and the hosts clear.

Brighton make a bright opening too, winning a very early corner but it's dealt with.

Newcastle start well with Christian Atsu having a cross deflected wide. Good noise inside the ground as you'd expect.

Coming up at 15:00 GMT, 25 first-round ties including Boreham Wood - 10th in the National League - against League One Blackpool. That could be a tie to keep an eye for a bit of giantkilling action.

Bournemouth start the day in the relegation zone but a point could be enough to climb out for now - a win definitely would.

Their last away win came in their last away game at Stoke. That was only a second away win in the league in 2017.

It's not a fixture to set neutral pulses racing, but this could be one that rises from nowhere to lead the MOTD running order. 'You wish,' I hear you say!

Newcastle need to win. Anything else would make a satisfactory Premier League return seem far less so, going into the last international staging post pre-Christmas.

They're solid, they're organised, but they need to make control of games count with goals.

Bottom three Bournemouth's struggle to score is even more real, with only Crystal Palace hitting the net less often this season.

After Eddie Howe bemoaned his side being too passive against Chelsea last Saturday, it's time for the Cherries to charge in a bit more.
